The way he stood up, kept his feet, when a gazillion purple people eaters were on him, and then passed to Fish, then Fish to Murph for THAT GOAL, was absolutely awesome.

Someone remind me of the year, maybe '93? We were in a a similar, but nowhere near as bad situation as far as the position of the club is concerned, We went on a road trip to the West and beat the Weagles in a thriller. 1 point maybe? My recollection is that sos played forward, at least in the last qtr, and took one of those typical diving marks and goaled for the win. It was the beginning of the rise up to a Premiership. It was the catalyst of belief in their individual and collective abilities.

Must admit before the last month I was a huge O’Brien hater. He’s really turning me around.

Using all the weapons of his u18 year (kicking, gut running) which he had seemingly forgotten, and also has a bit of mongrel which I never saw. The comparisons to Gaff in his draft year were pretty spot on.

The kid has a long way to go and plenty to improve but is well and truely on track. If he can become half the player Gaff is we’ve done well.

The umpiring, as always folows the momentum, or the other way around. Froe's regaining of the momentum in the 3rd was a result of a couple of dubious frees, and our gaining of it was the result of some decisions actually going our way for once. Apparently Kruezer doesn't have a back to push though...
