This is my preferred set up.

Or Roos with not such a high title but still in some kind of 'advisory' role so he can give our coaching group guidance when required.
Guidance on what precisely. Will he read them poetry or something....read their tea leaves?
I just feel its over the top nonsense like big government.
Just keep adding layers of administration with no increase in effectiveness.

HAHAHA... just watched the bit where Kreuzer split Fyfe down the middle... and Fyfe goes down holding his head! The only hand that went anywhere near his head was his own! What a diving piece of **** move that was!
struggle to criticize the way he goes about it - compare him to duckwood or ablett for example......bloke's an out and out freak who almost beat us singlehanded.......

The only thing more certain than murph kicking one of those goals is him ending up on his back, on the ground, legs spread, admiring his handiwork.

View of Murphy's pants, ala LanceRomance, if you will...
didn't stay down this time - flipped onto his feet like a rubber scorpion - too much love in the air.....

I know Dow kicked a goal and dished off a nice pass. But with only 7 possies and a few bad clangers, should he be dropped. I don't think he had much impact. Not sure if that was because he played in the forward pocket.
I would give a game in the 2's to rack up some touches and polish and maybe give Deluca a run. Am I being too harsh on Dow?
yes - put his goal and assists into context please......

I have no problems with the way he goes about it... he is a great player, but in this instance he went down holding his head like he'd been shot. From one angle, it definitely looked like Kreuzer may have gotten him in the eye, but then slowmo on the reverse angle showed that it was Fyfe's hand that got himself in the eye.

I was just commenting on the piece of shit move trying to suck the umpire into giving him a free kick for a self inflicted injury.

Second quarter... our structures have settled down a bit and we are playing with more fluidity. Our attack on the ball was especially good and probably drop Lyon nuts trying to counter it.

Umpires still inconsistant. Walsh trip, Kreuzer getting at least one two handed push in the back that took him out of the ruck contest. Marchbank marks in defence, the freo player pushes him over when there is no need. The mark had been completed and it should have been a 50... not paid.

And then there was the free kick that should have gone to Jack, but was instead paid to Conca for over the shoulder. What a crock of ****e. If he hadn't been all over Jack, then he wouldn't have forced Jack's arm up over his shoulder. That ******** free kick led directly to the shockers kicking their only goal of the quarter!

Carlton were definitely on the improve in that quarter. SPS really picked up the pace and our defence took control of their forward line in the second. Gov actually started making a nuisance of himself flying for marks and impacting marking contests to bring the ball to ground.

On to the third now :D
see if you can wrap this quarter without the tedious umpire comments - it actually detracts from the players' performances.......

Hang on...he got crunched in a tackle, and in the process managed to jam his own finger into his eye - and you don't think it's reasonable for him to go down holding his face?

What's the point... maybe the umpire should have given him a free kick. Artfully falling to the ground holding your head after your opponent hits you with a bump, holds you upright and then lets you go.

Even though stats mainly mean bugger all to me, ill play your game and looked up the AFL stats and include some stats they omitted:

DE% - 33.3% (3rd worst on ground behind Charlie and Bewley) - 'little down on efficiency', how bad is it normally?
Clangers - 7 (Match high - no frees against either to inflate that stat)

The above shows what I was on about, disposal was woeful yesterday - effort great (as always), disposal not so much.

But again, I don't care much for stats, I saw what I saw watching the game and made my opinion based on that. Disagree if you like (or quote one-sided fan twitter feeds), its good discussion.
Depends how you want to look at it positive or negative...I just watched the replay and he came crawling out from under packs countless times, very gutsy for an 18 year old I thought his game yesterday wasn’t woeful yeh his DE wasn’t the best but he made a contribution to the win, it was an all round team effort

Maybe he missed his mate Crippa
