Rd. 2 - Slaps and Sledges

Other club boards have this and i thought might be time to start this up on ours.

Any critiscism or praise for certain players efforts can now be all be situated on the same thread so fire away..

I'll start us off...what the hell was Sylvia doing? :(

Yze looked disinterested. It was as if he was planning his testimonial speach after he passess Stynes's record. If i had it my way, he would be playing in sandy this week.

Sylvia - the pass was meant for him but it was still a moment of madness. Otherwise we love you son.

Yze: Used to be my favourite player back in his superstar days of 2001-2002. Now he is just a joke and should be playing VFL.

Bruce: Really impresssive and played with intelligence (unlike the rest of the team).

Carroll: Just doesn't have enough talent, altho he's still the best we've got at fullback.

CJ: I'm a fan, but a) losing his boot and b) the turnover in the last quarter were quite embarassing.

Bartram: Busts his gut and will be a player.

Brad Miller: Too many clangers to name. One of the worst games he has ever played.

Col- Wasn't entirely your fault with Fergy but both players should have been talking and it never should have happened in the first player.
Miller- Are you a CHF? I used to rate you but being beaten 1 on 1 by Sam Power is unacceptable as a 'KPP'.
Carroll- You can shut down your man providing our midfield actually helps out for once. You can get the pill but if only you could make consistent good decisions.
Bartram- I love this kid. Throws himself in, isn't the best kick but then again Brett Kirk's disposal was never awesome either.
Yze and Green- Disgrace to the club. Get a hard ball or get out. Especially Yze. Used to be in my top 3 favourite players but now is a lazy, soft *****************************.
Rivers- Come back. Please god come back.
Daniher- Learn to coach and put Sylvia and Beamer in the centre. When I saw Gilbee drag Beamer down to our backline I wanted to blow up the coaches box.

Moloney didnt look fit. he had little pace after barely playing much of the game and barely getting the ball. good to see him kick a goal though.

I know I'll cop some flack for this but I was relitivly impressed with Green. He actually did go hard at the ball in a few passages. He is a tad slow though and it may be worth chucking him up forward vs Adelaide but his game wasnt as bad as you all make it out to be i dont think.

He went in hard a couple of times you're right MM, especially in the 3rd i think it was and was better than last week.

Yze was much worse..:(

Yep i agree that Green was ok and did get some contested possession.

Miller is obviously struggling, should play more at FF i think, as he is a strong leading player. Neitz could also play back a bit more.

Mclean showed his class in small doses, hopefully he gets back to full fitness very soon.

Sylvia was good and bad, missed a couple of easy set shots, and a couple of bad tackles as well, but i can't fault his enthusiasm and ability to consistently win the ball.

We are poor tacklers.

Not much talk on Picketts game, i thought he had a shocker of a first term with Griffen running riot on him but he turned it round beautifully and was one of our best after quarter time.

Never stopped trying and much improved on last week.

Sylvia not talking to Ferguson, who was running backwards, was totally stupid. Poor Ferguson is now down to one functioning lung and our backline is now down to one functioning defender (COME BACK RIVERS!).

He did redeem himself when he took all those great overhead marks, tried to kill Bulldogs players with his tackles and actually showed the rest of the team how to win a clearance!
Wish Daniher had the brains to play Sylvia and McLean on the ball at the same time. This happened once, at the 28th minute mark of the fourth quarter. Inspired move by Neale!

I think the main reason why we've bell falling away so appallingly at the end of quarters is because we have so many blokes below 100% fit. Bruce, Moloney, McLean, Pickett & Robertson. Poor selection & god help us if we bring back more blokes coming off injuries like Rivers & Warnock.

We need all of these blokes in the team & most of them are in my best 22, but we're carrying way to many 90% fit blokes.

what soo many people say about our team is that we need more "in and under" tough nut midfielders but i was sitting next to the bench and moloney and mclean kept rotating, i couldnt understand why daniher couldnt ahve them on at the same time!

also i think we deffinately need to play miller forward, especially as adelaide dont ahve a killer forward line, plus its time for green to go forward to regain some form. hes getting the possessinos but they dont seem overly effective and i rekon he could do some damage up forward.
