Culture will be the more important thing for Sunbury to get right rather than the players they can get.Get quality people involved with clubs and good players will come anyway.At the moment they still have a few knuckle heads associated with them in my opinion.There supporters might disagree but thats my judgement.Hope they continue improving though.woodsmen said:

Damn right, they are still a very young club with not a great deal of old mature people around to pull some blokes into line. I believe the president is only 25 and still trying to play. unfortunately this is what happens when players retire and cut all ties with clubs, so they dont get hassled about playing again. that happened abit years back when they were struggling for numbers

Any club gaining a player with a record like his is bound to be happy. If my memory serves me correct Sunbury struggled a little to find a consistant goal kicker when they came up against Woodend, i believe they were trying to use Garth Ploog as there focal point. So at least Commo would be able to straighten them up a little and kick a winning score.

well even if he may not be as effective he will provide Sunbury with another option. yeah i agree Garth Ploog is not a very effective footballer thats why i suggested they need a new focal point. Commo will at least give Sunbury that little extra depth in the side. i highly suggest though that Sunbury should not throw any great amount of money at Commo though, just if he wants to play for them give him a spot and a chance to prove himself.
The president is 27 and yes, he is still playing... But for what its worth lets have a look at the job he, the committee and the coaches have done down there over the past 12 months. The club is finally making profits, filling senior sides without doubling up, and most importantly built a solid foundation with young players who actually WANT to play football with the club. Its the most impressed ive been with this club for years.blues12 said:

Cummo fully fit is a very dangerous player. we have seen that over the past couple of yeras. Even though he is now at the biggest he has been. Even half fit he would be a handy player at Sunbury. Opposition teams will need to put there best backman on him because he is capable of kicking 3-4 goals very quickly. Probably should have got a game in either grand final side this year even on one leg!!

Did any one notice this year that the umpires cracked down on the amount of wrestling he does. In previous years he got away with a lot of holding and scragging. This year, nearly every time he was one on one he was pinged for holding?

I've played on him a few times and its easy to get into head. The most he kicked on me was 5 in a game. I was very surprised that he couldn't get a game in either for the GF but its not the first time its happened to him. I heard that it happened at Melton and at Bundoora. He can play but he needs to get himself fit and most importantly committed.

you are correct in saying that SOME spectators have fouled mouths but dont forget why anybody gets abusive. footy is a very emotional game i have been to the mcg and seen 50,000 people turn ugly because of constant inconcitency. you ask any umpire that umpired them in the first4 rounds when they were playing well and winning i heard they had good umpires and their were no abusive people bar the first round after a very ugly incident that the umpire did not control. Umpires need to judge the club on what it is not what it was when that happens i'm sure they will turn around. they are not the only club that gets a raw deal because of what they have been like in the past.

I remember when the Kangaroos were the Rovers,when Donny Down was coaching the 2nds[and that's a while ago]the Umpires hardly ever gave either the 1sts or 2nds any respect.They had decent players like Darko Dubrovsic and Paul Noonan,yeah i know so a few wernt that good and were only there to make up the numbers.Well in most cases the Umpires didnt give 'em much respect,i think the Semmons Brothers did,even though they can both A/holes at times.BrownDog2 said:
