They play a pretty diverse range IMO. The fact that the take potshots at Kingsmill is just adds to the humour. He's a freakin' world renowned music director. Pretty sure he won and award for it a year or two ago.

Triple J probably have a mandate to play a certain amount of Australian music so you would be kind of shitty if they didn't play your band when you know it's not all about music quality.

On the other hand, TJ have to remain cool or they won't be able to help any bands... I'd be tempted to say TJ had to drop End of Fashion after so many commercial stations picked up Oh Yeah, or the youth would have turned their collective backs.

Triple J seems a pretty closed shop. If you leave aside some of End of Fashion's bitterness about their career slipping away, many of the comments are valid.

Amazing day. Didn't see anyone else there, two other Australians and myself having a private tour in off peak season.

The douches who wear the flag as a cape there deserve to be castrated.

Great, Tokyo is huge, if my friends brother wasn't here we wouldn't be able to find anything or get around. Tomorrow we head off for some snowboarding!

Apparently it has been confirmed that this will be the last Big Day Out in Perth.

I'd be sad if there weren't 100 other festivals to replace it... And if I still went to festivals.

End of Fashion are good. So are Wolfmother.

Both these bands have hit out at Triple J in the past about just dropping them after an album or two and moving on to someone else without giving them much of a chance, and I can see where they are coming from TBH.
