I am 90% sure that we will look at a developing ruckman for the rookie list, I don't see how we can't. Either that or a mature age one like Griffiths if he is still available.

I see our PSD pick as the really interesting one here. I keep thinking back to when we got Michael Johnson in the PSD and wondering what move is being played out at the moment? The only reason that I can imagine we didnt use our last pick in the ND is if we thought Ash McGrath was going to be available. If we wanted an obvious choice like McGinnity or Gourdis we probably would have gotten them already.

I guess we will know this time tomorrow.

mcginnity is a 184 cm defensive mid. 18 yo who is very physical

my guess as to why he didnt get picked is that he doesn't have the smarts of alot of the other mids taken, and he lacks a bit of class

think troy cook

Or think Brett Kirk. Similar things were said about him when he ended up on Sydney's rookie list.

Joel Smouha from Qld sounds like he could be an uncut gem.

196cm ruckman/KPP who won the 3km time trial and placed 2nd in the beep test at the draft camp. That's some fantastic results for a big bloke.

Apparently he only started playing footy 18 months ago and is very raw. But that means he could have some massive improvement in him. Probably more of a long term project player on the rookie list though.

He's too young - will have to get picked up next year if he's going to play AFL, as he doesn't qualify for PSD or rookie selection.

This bloke has been training with us apparently.
