I made a point in the autopsy thread about us playing players out of position.
You see Adelaide draft Matt Crouch and they play him right in the guts. We plonk Vlastuin in a pocket.

This is NOT just about Vlastuin.
We have totally stuffed around with structures and players positions and I dunno, somehow coached flair and footy enjoyment right the hell out of them. When the buggery was the last time Dusty took a ping outside 50 off a run?! FFS Menadue at least tried it today and half the forward line gave the kid a bake. F U CK.
I'm not angry that we lost I'm angry that it's the state of us that's causing such shit play and we've gone backwards instead of at least maintaining our strengths since 2013 and slowly adding to them.

So Dimma, in the hope that you read this I've posted this thread.
I don't care what you do against West Coast cause we're gonna lose, but experiment and rest Maric and Deledio one more week.

Come round 5, get your team together and play them where they bloody well belong. Batch NEEDS to come back and do Vlastuin's role, he was great at it. If we let Batchelor go I believe we'd SERIOUSLY regret it.
We don't need Rioli, Short up forward, we need to strengthen the midfield. Cotchin Townsend Dusty Vlastuin Edwards can rest up there. Let Lennon Short Rioli Corey Ellis Menadue develop longer and come in as cover and eventually take over 1 by 1. And bloody back Chaplin, he's better down there than Astbury.
The side below is not far off 2013 and 2015, a side which was able to beat most top sides, and I would argue it is a natural improvement over those sides as opposed to the mess of kids and positions we see now.
Come on Dimma, do it mate.

Definitely no expert man but do you think the 22 I listed above would do better than the team we ran out with today?

Yes I was venting but part of me really does hope Dimma sees it and gets at least something out if it.
Sometimes it's hard to see things from the inside and an outside perspective might really make him go 'shit... right..'
Expert or not, he's just a guy. And 90% of Richmond bigfooty is annoyed with him right now and I think at least part of what I'm suggesting is why we've seemingly gone backwards.

But anyway, hoping for a discussion not an argument, if you disagree then fine but I passionately believe we should be adding to what was a great 2013/2015 side, not completely tearing it apart like we've done.

And why else do we post on bigfooty but for our passion for footy and hope that, in some way we might make a difference, lest it all come to sweet f u ck all in the end and be meaningless.

Why do we currently suck?
Because we've messed with it too much, and stopped rewarding players with games and started gifting too many.
Scale it back, go with the experience. Develop the kids properly and bring them in when ready.
