BS that Melbourne are better than us. We applied no defensive work at all in that game and if we did it was AFTER they grabbed a 30+ pt lead on us, we then outscored them by 20 points the rest of the way by applying MINIMAL pressure.
Our work rate was horrendous, go look at the AFL tracker on the game and you'll see the numbers.
true, but they still won. i reckon we start getting backs against the wall mentality. combined with a full strength midfield. we win 2025.

When we can win against Geelong and Brisbane I’ll get excited

I think we can beat Collingwood, Hawks and Giants but only just

Power always seem to turn up for us .

Some great signs but yiu can really see the inexperience showing underneath the surface.
That’s a good thing ✅

Dogga coming back to wreak havoc in through the midfield and wherever he roams! Bolton to kick four, Jye to kick 3 and Chappy to assert himself in what is a breakout year for the young star.

Heading into Tuesday, enjoying the best weather in the world, some gardening and the laughter of my girls. A peaceful household, hiring new team members local and international and looking forward to a cracking win on Friday night!

What a time to be alive!!

Add to that Brayshaw extending his lead at the top of the brownlow leader board.

While we’ve probably gone backwards defensively this year, we have certainly improved offensively and have many more options available to us in terms of avenues for goal.

We are no longer simply trying to concede fewer points than our opponents, we are trying to do that AND score more than them at the same time.

The defence will come on as Darcy, Young and Jackson come back into the team/fitness. Add to that Wags and Chappy fit and in the team. Worner has built into the lock down small role very well.

It is great to know we can beat teams with both methods. Now we need to see the team build through more consistent play for longer periods each game.

Looking forward to seeing where we are at the bye.

We have definitely gone up a few cogs this year offensively compared to other years.
I know Brucy and Dudley didn't contribute a great deal to the last game but they've both been good this year. There's a fair argument to be made that we do better offensively with those guys in there than Sturt and Walters.

Better than Sturt for sure, I'd be keen to see how Walters goes in the current line-up alongside Shai but that's looking less and less likely the more the year goes on.

Wish I could understand what the hell this is.
It's the graph that focuses on turnover net differential. If you look closely, you'll notice there's a horizontal line and a vertical line that splits the graph into 4 sections. The top right is where any team wants to be: most scores off turnover; least amount scored against from your own turnovers. The top right 'box' or rectangle indicates those on a Premiership winning trajectory...so looks like Geelong has the best net differential right now. But we're in the box, indicating we're getting better in that department.

Pumped for tonight! A huge week of work, followed by taking a little one to gymnastics, which is ridiculously cute. Little girls are the best!! Get home, help with dinner and reading whatever giant stack of books get pulled out for "stories timmeee YAY" and I should be able to start watching during the second quarter.

Thankfully the magic of modern tech means I will start from Q1 and using the 15 second skip ahead during breaks etc I will be caught up ready for the 3rd term.

Jackson to recapture early season form... Brayshaw to build on his AA start to the year. Young to increase his output and damage. Serong to do Serong things. A handy 4 goals from Shai. Amiss being rewarded for a few leads and making contests. As well as getting up the ground and using his left to hit Treacy on the tit! Chappy to build, run, kick and mark like the A grader he is growing into...

COME ON NOW!!

I am optimistic that this will mean we get a new coach. Hopefully before the bye.

I wish I was as optimistic that the club would focus 100% on the premiership...
