Rebuilding Our Recruiting Department

LoGiodice is simply going to be a puppet for Mathieson, so essentially Mathieson will be running the club.
And that scares the crapola out of me. That lunatic shouldn't be anywhere near a position of power at Princes Park.
And all of this happening in our 150th year.

Grrrrrrrrrrrr

Calm down you lot, you swallowed caro's bait hook line and sinker.

In a few months loGiodice has done more to overhaul the recruiting dept than kernahan did in years, and no changes have even be made!

I for one am pleased to finally see the aggression back and a president that is willing to make moves instead of sitting on his hands.

Of course there will be leaks, we are in the middle of a handover, and a reluctant president and CEO being moved on...

So what exactly has Shane Rogers and his team done wrong in the last couple of years?

You think Kernahan or Swann leaked this? What has their moving on got to do with anything? Kernahan has to leave as his time is up according to our constitution. No ill will there. How on earth would Swann know Lo Giudice had made an informal approach to Wright? It is clearly coming from Wright and Hawthorn and you can't blame them for spilling. Amateur hour.

If you think this is a sign of "aggression" I think you've grossly misjudged the situation. Similarly, if you think change for the sake of change is a step in the positive direction I'd suggest you're having a laugh.

No, this isn't aggression. This is a group of power hungry pricks who don't care if they burn the club to the ground as long as they end up on top.

You don't support mediocrity on the field - so why accept it at a board level?

Accepting that there will be leaks is simply pathetic. To do so is simply allowing for the exoneration of the current board members who are not doing what they ought to be doing. We've seen leaks coming from our club at a board level for as long as I care to remember.

We've had two major leaks come out of the club over the past fortnight. How often do you see other clubs in the media for the leaks coming out of their board?

Good clubs don't allow that sort of thing to happen. We're a train wreck off the field and these idiots currently at the helm aren't doing anything to rectify that - in fact they're digging a deeper hole.

...and this make it easier for Gibbs to re-sign??? :-(

This is so disappointing and typical of Carlton, when will we learn? :(

In a time when the AFL is going to put a cap / tax on football dept spending our 'powerbrokers' decide to chase a quick fix solution that will cost a lot. Rogers has seemingly done everything right since he has been in charge, we should be investing in supporting him and his team, meanwhile conducting a club wide review to see where we need to improve. If it is deemed he is below par after this review, I'm sure we would all be for chasing the supposed best in the league.

Self serving, reactionary, quick fixes from people pulling the string above is something we need to remove from this club.

This really stood out to me as being just so true. And it's making me ****ing irate. We need to get some people who actually care about our club, not just rich dickheads who use it as their personal ego plaything.

If there are enough of us who are genuinely passionate about stopping the cancerous rot from driving our beloved club into the ground, we should force an AGM.

All we need is 100 ordinary members who are entitled to vote at the AGM to request that a Director call the meeting.

Sounds simple enough....not sure 100 will be too much of a struggle.

We really should do this Jeremias
I'm sure we could get 100 ordinary members off BF alone to force an AGM.
There's no bloody way i'm going through this again.

As the Sheik said, the meeting needs a purpose. If it's about getting rid of LoMathiesion, you need an alternative.

Give me just about any alternative and I'm on board

3 game member here (have MCC too), is there any way I can vote on these matters? I have a feeling it's an extra $50 for voting rights, but I'm really not sure. Does anyone know?

How is shit like this still happening? The nightmare continues.

How is a club with Carlton's level of support run by such a small band of thugs and troglodytes? Surely there are good Carlton people out there who are capable of taking a stand. That is, unless they're happy for us to continue our steady march towards total irrelevance.

Given there are four names on club site so you are now telling me we actually have eight people in the recruiting network ??

I can hardly hold my back my unbridled happiness. :D

Websites only list fulltimers.

"Our full-timers Luke Williams, Michael Jordan, Wayne Hughes and myself, together with Ross Parker in Perth"

"Our part-timers have also increased from 13 to 21 and we have representation in every state of Australia . . . our four scouts in South Australia are part-timers"

If you can't be bothered looking through the whole constitution etsal1, then on the membership website under each type of membership it tells you whether or not you have voting rights. Eg. Captains Club Reserved has voting rights for those over 18

Terrible form really. If you are headhunting someone, you never let them know who the organisation is that they will ultimately be working for until negotiations have progressed passed the 'We have a client looking for someone with your skillset. Would you be interested in having a chat with us about possibly having a meeting with them?'.

You approach them through a third party that is neutrally aligned and who have instructions to only reveal the organisation doing the headhunting at the appropriate time. You do not go blundering in trampling all over the tulips.

Not sure i believe what was written but unprofessional regardless.

Synbad and his sidekicks seem to enjoy themselves big time over the club crisis :-(

Voting rights ......

Have just checked the Membership website and all Membership categories (excluding Junior Members, Non Access M/ships & Extras, Women Of Carlton & Northern Blues Members) are entitled to vote.

Interstate & Country members also entitled to vote.

  • Voting rights (for Members over 18 years of age who hold a minimum season home game membership)

Carlton's improvement is my chief concern.
-LoGiudice/Mathieson aren't my presidents. I didn't vote them in.
-They are using my money to do things directly opposed to the club's interest.

Hopefully Tom Elliott and Fraser Brown put their hands up. Ryan Trainor as well.
