Just picked up this game on the weekend. I have a massive issue with the game and it's almost a deal-breaker, that is, if there's no option to fix, I dont think I can keep playing, which is a shame, cause it's been pretty good so far.

Is there anyway to invert the x-axis for aiming and movement? There's an invert for y-axis, but not x, which is mind-boggling. Everytime I go to look left, I look right and almost throw the wireless controller in sheer frustration (wireless controllers were such a bad idea - too easy to throw). Pls help, because it's making me tear my hair out. I cannot cope with normal x-axis movement especially when it's needed for shoot-outs

Sasquatch is typical Rockstar humour...with all the GTA rumours of BigFoot, typical of them to finally put it in an actual game.:D

Looks absolutely ****ing amazing, will have to get.

And Lance, it'll be out this week (most likely this Friday).

Anyone who inverts the axis needs to stop gaming. NOW!:eek:

Hate it when my mate uses the inverted axis when playing any game, so horrible.:(
 
Na, It's out now. People already playing it when I got home at midnight.
Bought it at 12:26 and it took til 1:34 to download the pack. 1,743MB. (wireless)
Now JUST finished installing. Another 8mins.

I bought the 90day PS+ which made the RDR download $3 cheaper. Free Kula world clinched it. :)

Had a go of "Undead overrun" co-op
The narrator is as good as ever ;)
Fight off multiple waves of zombies. It says never ending so I assume it is. We only got to wave 3 before I died trying to revive a downed player surrounded by undead.

Went to tall trees in free roam hoping to find bigfoot/sasquatch thing but got mauled by cougars who seem to have moved in with the bears in mass numbers. I killed 9 before dying.(there was a master hunter challenge going on so this may be why) Off to bed. Gotta be up at 8am. Bad.

Yeh, Figured they would eventually but it wouldn't have surprised me if they again, hinted at it so we'd all look and not find.

When you start up your game and press single player you choose RDR or UNDEAD so it's an entirely different campaign. I'm loving it so far. Damn cool.

The start of the missions will sort of fill you in on where they slotted this supposed nightmare in with the story line. It works.

HBK, you'll love the sasquatch related trophy & it's homage to the above mentioned rockstar humour.

Although, the french version of the trophy has an even more obvious name, apparently roughly translates to "stop searching C.J" (Carl Johnson, San Andreas)

It was once again scary going near the tall trees (like when you first saw a bear) Loads of eerie noises in the game really add to it.

Each graveyard has a boss character of sorts and their sayings are quite a laugh.

Found & broke "WAR". The flaming horse,(infinite stamina FTW) although a bear has since mauled him so I'm back to some rubbish horse.

This DLC pack is completely worth the ?$15 (or $12 PS+)

Fans of the stranger missions will like the new "survivor" missions & the detailed dialogue of characters involved.

Can't wait to play it some more.
 
Im loving the DLC pack (playing single player and haven't tried multiplayer) The storyline is just so epic and finding ammo was never so exciting before. finished 24% of singleplayer so still a long way to go!
 
this is freaking awesome. It really is. Quite a bit harder too, because you can't use the snap aim, as you need to shoot them in the head.

It really is quite spooky too. But so good to be back in John's world, man I'm loving it. I seriously considered taking today off to play it :D

I found Famine, but my Warhorse got stuck in a friggin tree, and by the time I got out I'd lost him again. So annoyed

Closing Comments

Undead Nightmare is what downloadable content should be -- a lot of bang for your buck. There's a whole lot of new here: a 6+ hour single-player campaign, two multiplayer modes, two outfits, side missions, weapons, mounts, etc. It's clear that Rockstar didn't skimp on this package, and priced at a cool $10 or 800 Microsoft points, neither should you. There's a lot of fun to be had in this light-hearted version of the West, so if you're craving a well-polished zombie-filled package of fun, here it is.

On that,
From the opening cut scene, it seems to me they've chucked this in right where the "happy family" farm stuff was near the end of the game.
It starts with John riding back to his farm to mend his family life (but in the pouring rain) and then all this zombie shit starts happening. Abagail, Jack & Uncle are all at the farm. Think of it like an alternate ending. I can't wait to see whether it's all a dream or something. Only a few missions in so far. See what you think if you buy the pack.
 
Bought the new pack 2 nights ago and started playing last night.

So far, VERY good. Only completed 1 official mission (in 53 minutes gametime), but it's such a good B-Movie Zombie styling, there's no real 'srs bsns' going on. It just carries on exactly how a Rockstar game would be expected to.

The only thing I'm a bit disappointed with is that there's no real new soundtrack. Reckon some really dread bearing music would just work fantastically when you're walking or riding through deserted towns would really add just that extra bit of atmosphere the game is already dripping in.

Absolutely love the menu's and the look of the map too.
 
Undead Overrun is awesome! i just played and got to wave 28. It is so epic, me and my friend were out of ammo and we ran all the way to mexico from one of the graveyards and managed to defeat the wave with holy water and dynamite! Bargain DLC for what you get. to think the other DLC packs are 800 ms points really makes this seem cheap.
 
Blunderboss = one hell of a gun.
I finished up the undead story. Awesome DLC.
Just need to go through & get 100%
Death horse is ok.
Need to find the unicorn now.

yeah I need the Unicorn too. How have you gone with all the side missions? I need to kill the 5 burning undead with one deadeye, but having trouble setting 5 alight in go tbh. I also only found the treasure map very late, so I need to find them as well. I think there's another mythical creature you need to kill/capture before getting the unicorn too.

Have you killed the undead animals with the torch yet? **** me dead that's hard.

I just loved he way they tied to story back to the original at the end with Zombie John

Unless you're functionally ******ed this problem would be overcome by simply practising for about 15 minutes. It really shouldn't take too long for your muscle memory to kick in for a task that simple.
 
I'm amazed at how much is in this DLC.

For $15.95 (or $12.37 or whatever it is with PS+) you get more content than most games available nowadays. It's crazy.

No idea how they managed to pack so much in, in such little time since releasing RDR.

Not only is there your usual Story stuff, there's stranger missions, new world events, treasures, challenges, horses, animals, SO MUCH FRIGGEN NEW STUFF!

I don't know how much more I have to do, but I'm about 3 hours in so far and I will definitely be giving it another run through as it's just insanely fun to play. Not to mention it's actually really hard to just stand and rip apart every zombie considering you have to headshot them all. Can't wait to give the co-op a go too.

Also in regards to 2 missions in the pack.
How good was the Sasquatch mission? So Rockstar to have it be a tender moment like that, did you guys kill him or let him live?

And the Herbert Moon part of the Marshell's mission was easily the funniest thing in this game ever. Not only was his entire hatefilled dialogue extremely hilarious but his "No you can't kill me I'm Herbert MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON" was absolutely top notch.:thumbsu::thumbsu:

yeah man, I totally agree. The amount of value for money you get is just nothing short of ****ing insane. And it's SO Rockstar! The Sasquatch mission encapsulates that for mine. How could you kill him??? Surely not. I let the poor bugger live.

Speaking of so Rockstar though... wait til you get to the end... :cool:

Herbert Moon was hilarious. "I hate blacks, jews, Catholics, Gays, British. And women. LOL

Seeing as he doesn't eat babies, I let him live. Was kinda hoping I'd be able to go back there or perhaps run into him again. Who knows. I couldn't shoot him with the act he put on.

You may have already got a little further but I think it gets better and better. The characters, the weapons, the horses...

Bit sad it's over. (although it may not be) Nothing new now. I've only had 1 go of the co-op. I'll play if we're on at the same time. Don't make the mistake of reviving downed players though (unless they're in the clear, which is unlikely). Just finish the round. You'll love the narrator again.

Re, the unicorn. Apparently you need to find & kill the chupacabra :confused: first. Both in the eastern side of Mexico.

EDIT: Bed time. Done both of the above.
The Unicorn will not appear til you've found & killed the chupacabra. The Chupathingy will not appear til you've completed the four horsemen challenge & reached level 5 in the undead hunter challenges.

Killing the undead animals with the torch was easy. Similar to the normal RDR knife challenge, stay on your horse. The advantage you have in this one is that PESTILENCE is near impossible to kill and wont fall over if a bear scratches it etc. Made is super easy. Set the animals alight & wait til they burn.

I didn't want to keep re-saving towns so spent tonight saving the 23 towns so I could then ignore them and do the above things. I've since lost a few towns but that doesn't affect the 100% completion & spinning plates trophy = already done.
