This is a good call, from memory Fraser-McGurk had quite a storied domestic and international junior career and it hasn't clicked at senior level. Obviously it may never. having said that, Victoria reportedly wanted to keep him contracted, so presumably they see something there.

He went through that Aussie U19 pathway with players like Lloyd Pope, Jason Sangha, Jack Edwards from memory. None of them have really established themselves at first class level.

Cricket seems to be so different to football in terms of the timeline for player maturity. Kelvin Smith I reckon is ready to start his career properly and finally looks on top of his game at 28 years of age.

I wonder if the success players have 18-21yo in football forces cricket to anoint its own young stars? Instead of just letting them find their own way
