So 270 to win, the only hope we have now lies in this so often maligned Karen Rolton Oval pitch. Will be the largest Shield final winning 4th innings total ever by 31 runs.

Just because you don't know who they are, doesn't mean they can't play. You could almost - almost - forgive them if the runs came from the two Australian reps but centuries to Clayton and Jack ****ing Wildermuth, along with a 50 from sketeketete is unforgivable
There has been a lot of 4th innings scores over 300 though in Shield finalsWill need to set the record 4th innings score to win a Shield Final to win.

Probably a bit of a bonus not having to bat at all tonight. To win.
Just because you don't know who they are, doesn't mean they can't play.
It's been fun watching you melt, it really has.
They have two days on a road.Grinded it out really well late in the day in tough bowling conditions. McAndrew finishes with 40 wickets for the season, Doggett with an 11fa in the match.
Would need to see cracks appearing in this pitch for me to be fearful of not chasing 270. Thought we batted better in the trickier conditions on day one, so no reason to think we can’t be better than Queensland now.
Clayton is averaging 46 for the season and Wildermuth made 100 on this pitch last week haha, very odd meltJust because you don't know who they are, doesn't mean they can't play.

I think it’s over tomorrow, run rate hasn’t been below 3-4 most of the matchThey have two days on a road.
Very doable. Don't have to be stupid at all.
Only need about 2 an over to win.
We bowled poorly, but he's as good as a middle order bat.I know exactly who he is. He can bat, but a century? That's very poor. Our bowling wasn't up to scratch and it allowed the #8 to ton up

Lots of new people to this thread that wouldn’t have seen one ball of our season before the final haha. This team has met every challenge with bat and ball this season and won, and they will win this one too!We chased down 300 literally three weeks ago against Boland & co. Take a breath.
I love your optimism, but nearly 30 years of batting collapses has scarred many of us.Lots of new people to this thread that wouldn’t have seen one ball of our season before the final haha. This team has met every challenge with bat and ball this season and won, and they will win this one too!

WTF. Seriously man you should know better. She misrepresented her age. Josh is completely innocent here and I have a no tolerance to serious offenders. He can celebrate with his 14 yr old gf
I've been watching closely the last few matches and checking scores. Whilst I see where you are coming from you have to take into account this is a final and a reasonable score. It's not super hot tomorrow either and will be breezy.Lots of new people to this thread that wouldn’t have seen one ball of our season before the final haha. I'll be there for the 2 arvo sessions. All things being equal, this is very gettable.
Of course they are not equal, this is a Shield final and the pressure can get to some players.
Fingers crossed. Who’s going tomorrow? I’m holding you all personally responsible for the outcome.
For those who have been watching, I gather the pitch is getting better to bat on, so we should be able to match our 1st innings score.270 on this pitch should be very gettable. We were pretty well there when we shook hands on day 4 of the last test a week ago. We chased 300 3 weeks ago.
But 30 years of Redbacks being Redbacks is a hell of a culture to change. I want to believe. I really, really do. I just can't trust them. Not yet.

If we shit the bed early I'm not taking any blame.

Queensland certainly have made a game of it though after being in strife.
Which should be enough to chase down the runs.Yeah it has really flattened out, think there is at least another day and a session of good batting at the very least
