Toast Regional Roos Thread - Down on the farm Roos

It isn’t really that free of a market when it comes to stock sales, and there are differences between the processing ages of lamb and beef that come into play.
There is a bigger export market for beef, and stock can be held over and increase in value while lamb prices decrease.
It would be different if there was less feed and water, which will come into play if we have a dry summer, but beef sales at a low price are also lower volume per head at the moment.
Do you have any dealings with the meat buyer from Coles who plays fiddle fingers with the farmer on the ad?

Would a farmer actually do that?

Its gonna be dry and the central/western NSW wheat crop is struggling.

I was in Nimbin on Monday. Sitting in the pub watching the road it was so wet the rain was running down the street in waves, each one an inch or so high on the others and the gutters were overflowing. Waited till the rain stopped and then another hour before going home. All the roads were bone dry!!!

Haven’t had heeeaaaps of rain down here in Regional Rye, even though Danny reckoned we’re part of the ‘burbs. Blowy as a Sydney hooker though. Just started raining again … bollocks. Lolled, the wind has shifted the goals 🤣🤣

Pissing rain and wind at Lakes Entrance. And to top it off I now have a water leak behind a retaining wall creating a river down the hill the backyard. Been outside trying to massage the water to a different area.
Looks like another day of rain 🌧️ , keep checking backyard hasn't turned into another swimming pool
