Richmond is a very good team, but I can't think of a more underwhelming 3 x premiership winning one.

It's quite remarkable, Richmond are a team with a bunch of pretty average players, a brilliant European Handball gameplan and Dustin Martin. They're just not that good, but the competition is even worse, so credit to them for being consistently better than a pretty ordinary field.

And they'll probably win another one, which is crazy.

Can't think of a worse top 2 in years.

Last year too where it was a limping Geelong and Brisbane. In both years the fixture has inflated the top two. Last year with the classic Kardinia Park inflation and Brisbane's easy draw and this year Port and Brisbane having the only 'normal' fixture.

The fixture is the worst part of the AFL, hands down.

Dusty has proven himself be the clear number 1 player over 4 or 5 years now and deservedly will be remembered as a great of the game. They are a really good team.

It’s rugby but with forward throws. It’s within the rules mostly though and good on them for designing the game plan and having complete buy in from all players who execute it perfectly. Brilliant coaching and leadership.

Not too fussed about Richmond winning.

Geelong have a mindset that they can bring players in, perpetually qualify for the top 4 given their home ground advantage (appreciate this year is different). I'd rather see an organically created list win premierships than this bandaid bullshit. Geelong need to head back to the draft. Fortuitously for them, they have some decent picks this year.

9 goals to 2 second half.

Richmond adjusted and moved their spare from sweeping behind play to sweeping the centre square corridor after half time and Geelong found themselves unable to move the ball through the centre anymore, going wide which played into exactly what Richmond want opponents to do against them.

Credit to Hardwick, his coaching (with the assistance of D.Martin's clinicality in big moments) won this premiership.
