Wrap me up in a staitjacket and call the funny farm but I feel strangly upbeat about our future over the next 2 - 3 seasons. This has been a crap year but I reckon its the season from hell we had to have. I dont think that Freo will make the same errors from now on re the draft, trading and carrying underperforming players. It seems this season has come as a real shock to the club. We all look back to 2006 as our best season but in hindsight the rot set in there. We made terrible decisions and trade and draft table that year and a number of players came to think they were better than what they really were. At the end of this year there will be a ruthless cleanout of our playing stocks and we will get some new exciting talent. I think we could look at some of the mature talent in th wafl that has been overlooked anf I am convinced that Harvey is the right man for the job. The future is bright.

We seem to have an awful lot of 'seasons from hell that we had to have' though don't we?

But I'm fairly optimistic too. Mainly because even though we've had important players missing all year we've had so many close games that could easily be wins next season. Plus for the first time since Pav and Hase hit the scene we have some young talent that I'm actually excited about.

I rekon u have a pretty gd point here mate. Altho we have endured many "seasons from hell" i think this year will really be a slap in the face 4 everyone. Harvs should make a stand now and de-list players who arent up 2 it and stop carrying pretenders and draft well for once and not trade in players who will win us a premiership cos it aint working!

If they make the same drafting errors and keeping players on the fans will really turn on the club.
