A friendly reminder Chops

One more win for WCE and without jinxing myself the round 22 home game against Richmond should deliver.

I'll have two cartons of Hahn's Super Dry (full strength).

Make a deal then = 2 bets
1 carton on WCE finishing above Freo.
1 carton on WCE winning eight or more games this year.

WCE finish above you but win only 7 or less games then all square.
Freo finish above WCE and we win 7 or less games then you get 2 cartons.
WCE above Freo and 8 or more games you pay me the two cartons.

How's that then:thumbsu:

Done.

PS. Your taste in beer is shithouse.
Chops comes on to our site and stirs the pot. ;)

I am just looking for a bite. :p

Nothing wrong with Super Dry  cheaper than Corona's.

Oh cmon gravy - it's all in good fun. Chops is a regular stirrer on our board (well received) and there is no doubt this bet's thread was probably pretty rowdy when made.

Seeing as your using Corona as the measuring stick of beers then it's no surprise that you choose HSD.

Low Carb Beer is an insult to beer and people who drink it are the same people that buy crystal cola, straight twisties, blue mm's, the spin duster, the shamWOW or any product on late night tv.

Don't fall for the hype, use your taste buds

Or, to paraphrase, image is nothing, thirst is everything, obey your thirst.

And never succumb to any hype, ever.

You definitely shouldn't be drinking beer with a name that flows smoothly after the word Toyota.

Try Monteiths winter ale, very very good. Bowled over a 6 pack in next to no time last night. Actually most of the monteiths range is great, with the exception of the raddler. Raddler beers are rubbish.

Firstly, Corona isn't beer.

Secondly, how can you dislike stouts? There are about 5,274,831 different types and they all taste different. That's like someone saying they don't like lager.

Can't stand BstG, Corona is for drinking in the sun, Carlton cold is rubbish, will drink teds if there is nothing else and VB if I've been working and sweating in the sun.

Red back is an acquired taste. Stick with it and you might grow to love it. I do. You don't like Guiness? That's a shame, nothing like a stout on a cold night. Once again an acquired taste. Agreed on the others.

What's that like? You shouldn't knock beers until you've tried them, from what you've listed so far your palette is pretty undeveloped so you probably don't try a lot of beers.

I'd back emo's taste of beer and women over yours at this stage.

I hate TED and Carlton Cold. Hate em. Always have killer hangovers when I drink them.

Coopers is the best, don't mind Little Creatures in spring (too fruity most of the time), Redback is great.

I don't know why more Australians don't drink Cooper's Pale Ale. It's a fairly solid beer, that balances taste without being overpowering. It's only drawback is that it's a bit heavier in the gut, so you can't drink as much. Probably a good thing though.

Mex? They still make that swill?

Sol reminds me of the old days of Havana's and giving them away for $2 if you rocked up early. That and MGD... both shite in their own right...

I'm with Stronz.. Monteith's from NZ is awesome... White Cliff's in Taranaki does good stuff as well... or did... been a few years since I was there so it may have closed...

Agreed on all points. Coopers is my stock beer, and I think you're underestimating it's popularity.

Also FatYak is a new beer which I'm very pleased with.

Will keep an eye out.

I remember we bought a carton of Sol one night because it was on special. Got home and started drinking and realised why it was on special. Utter rat piss.

Everyone I know loves Coopers, but it just isn't the stock beer it should be. Still plenty of places that don't have it on tap, and I remember 10 years ago when it was almost impossible to get at your average pub over east.

Definitely growing though.

Fat Yak is alright, had a couple of pints of it on the weekend.

When I was younger I spent quite some time bumming around Mexico. The two choices where Corona and Tecate. Tecate was horrendous so the choice was usually Corona.

A Corona and 4 ridgey didge Taco's for a US dollar - good times :)

You obviously haven't tried Sol or Mex.

*shudders*

No, I haven't. The names don't inspire me to start now.

I've just polished off all the Coopers Pale Ale at our club. Somebody asked for it to be put on for a special function and the remainder went into the fridge only known to those who volunteer to serve behind the bar regularly. :thumbsu: It took me a few weeks. I'm starting on the James Boag Classic Blondes next.
