Hi all - 2 country members here looking to reserve seats for the Port game. Ticketmaster says none available. Could this be right?
We dont want to travel for 6 hours and have to stand up!
Will some come available later in the week?
(Looking forward to the famous Port choke!)

To my knowledge that is probably right. There is some general admission seating but to get to that you will need to get there early.

Anyway, what's wrong with standing? Especially with six hours spent sitting down travelling!

Give the club a call mate. THey might be able to help you as reserved seat members can on sell their seats.

Sounds about right. As far as I've been told nearly all the seats go Monday to Wednesday two weeks before the match no matter who the opponent. Ring the club anyway.

Is 1.10 pm start. I just had a look online under afl/club members at ticketmaster.com.au. Under reserved I was offered Doug Wade stand non drinking area. Also tickets available under general public but says 'does not guarantee seat'.

Awesome, thanks for that. :thumbsu:

Means I will get home an hour earlier than usual which is all good.

The ol wet & dry areas hey? I didn't think there was segregation these days. Am I way off in thinking the MCG has no dry areas?

The ground level seats in the olympic stand are alcohol free / dry area. And in the MCC you have to drink your alcohol in the bars and can't take it back to your seats.

Only for the cricket.

Us 'riff raff' were actually visited by royalty on Sunday. Next time I'll need some warning though Shell, to prepare the rose petals.

and whats with that? Only 21,000....Top of the ladder form mustn't be good enough.

Thanks for the thought Shell but standings fine. Plus there's a few of us. It's just what we do. Until they start charging extra to stand. And by 'they' I mean...well..not sure who I mean. But I do know that 'they' will eventually make 'us' pay for everything. Including the simple use of my legs...Anyway it's knock off time. See ya.

Early start plus Sunday match plus interstate opponent no one cares about (as opposed to WC, Sydney and Adelaide who all have bigger Melbourne support) and pretty cool conditions even for Geelong. I think 21,000 is pretty good considering all that.
