Ressies were severely undermanned today so it was a real credit to the boys out there that we were still a chance of winning late in the fourth. That and the Lions missing a lot of chances. Firstly Spangher did not play, not sure why but as mentioned previously he was off the ground late in last weeks game.

Seaby started as a forward, did a few taps but called it quits not long after. Jed lamb only played the second half and add Malceski pulling out for the seniors game we didn't have many on the field thanks to Nippa's suspension (confirmed in a pure game interview) and kruger and Biggs injured too

Walsh was my best. In the first half he provided an important focal point in attack and held onto many marks. Broome was also lively but faded after a hot first quarter. Cunningham and Meredith did a lot of wOrk around the ground, the latter in a role from defence where he was under a lot of pressure throughout the game. TDL pushed very high up the ground but ran forward hard when we won the ball. Very potent around goals and looks to have added a physical element to his game when he busted through a few tackles one on one to run into open goals

Mitchell didn't play midfield again. To me it seemed his role was a halfback wing outside runner. Parker started at half forward but drifted to the middle as the game progressed and I felt improved his contribution to the team. He will be better for this run and with the reserves having the bye next week he will surely get a recall to the seniors. Possibly as the sub

yep huge credit to the boys playing so many men down

Lamb was fantastic when he came on one of his best games ive seen after a few great games i saw of him last year hopefully he keeps it together

Aaron Cornelius from the lions is a freak...he single handly killed us today

LRT may not be available next week due to his unexpected hospital visit - who would step up into his role ? I suppose it would need to be a defender who can run forward when the opportunity arises.

Do you have the backs and forwards mixed up or is this some kind of experiment?
HB: Mitch Morton, Trent Dennis-Lane, Tommy Walsh
If Walsh and TDL are named on the ground does that rule them out of the seniors?

As I said don't shoot the messenger. It's been a running joke all season long. Seaby in the back pocket McNeil in the ruck Moore at chb etc

OK, but since I haven't been paying evough attention, If players are named on the ground in the reserves, does that rule them out of the seniors?

Exciting that Lamb showed his ability again, I've been worried we wasted another pick but the kid has so much talent and I desperately want to see him play for the seniors next season.

Upside down Miss Jane....

Upside down Miss Jane....

The coaches just seem to like having fun with the positions on the team list. Fairly sure I've seen McNeil named as our ruckman, etc. I can only assume it's a running joke they have. Jarred Moore wouldn't make sense as a FF nor a FB, Jack Lynch is definitely not a winger, and I'm not sure TDL would be any better as a CHF than a CHB. Nathan Gordon being named as ruckman isn't that extraordinary, given he's been used as a pinch-hitter in that position before, but with both White and Naismith in the team I think they're just having a laugh.
