6 months ago, when you walked into your local EB, as a noob, without doing any price matching etc etc, your big new release 360 games were around 104-109 and the equivalent ps3 game was 119.

Lately they have been trending to be the same price...119.

It was a simple observation, of which i expressed a completely unfounded hypothesis about the higher original price maybe being the price of PSN factored into games...maybe it was the higher price of the blu ray disc...who knows? Whether anyone agreed wasn't a massive consequence to me, it was a musing more than anything. "What do others think" sort of thing

Somehow you've turned it into some irrelevant discussion about people being stupid for paying full retail for games, which is a pretty friggin obvious thing for anyone with half a brain, and completely off topic to any sort of point i was trying to make.

This is not a knock on EB. EB are great with price matching, and if you bring them a price they will match it. I generally buy from them more often than not, because i like to shop at a games store rather than big w.....

But they almost always advertise games at their full RRP.

If you pop on their website you'll find most recent games, Street Fighter, RE5 etc are listed as 119.95 for both platforms.

I certainly never pay that. I was just using them for both platforms, as i said, to compare apples with apples.

Anyway, this has gotten way off the topic of RE5...

Honestly you were/are drawing one of the longest bows I've ever seen, are you a conspiracy theorist?

What I find strangest is that you pull up the PS3 on why the games did cost more(And I realise it was along the lines of the whole 'free PSN' thing), yet you don't try and offer any explanation as to why the 360 games now cost the same(An increase of approx. $10+ RRP), without changing anything and already charging for use of FULL online services.

Seems to me your just trying to find a reason why PS3 owners don't pay for the PSN service, but 360 owners do pay for Full XBL services, and it ain't working.

It was a throwaway line at the bottom of my post about the pricing of XBL, which you took as a personal attack on yourself, I agree it was obvious, really obvious, basically my point, why do you think I said people are chumps if they do? On topic of the RE5 DLC though, I am really pissed at Capcom, basically for the reason that the DLC looks pretty fun, both modes look good and I would love to have a go of them, but there is no way I am going to support this bullshit type of move towards DLC and keeping it off the disc to make more money, just extremly annoying and it alienates people who actually thought enough of their game to spend upwards of $120 for it(However chumpy if you payed $120, I myself payed $84).

Finally finished the game last night, as much as it annoyed me dying 1,000,000 times in the last section of the last chapter... at the end i wanted it to continue . Will be playing it again soon, have to get my overall time down to under 5 hours so i can run rampant with unlimited rocket ammo - finished just shy of 11 hours in gametime.

Must resume finding the BSAA emblems, kinda lost track of them after the second chapter.

Honestly if your gonna find them all you will need to look it up, some of them are in stupid places that you would never bother to look, IGN(In the guide section) has them all and they have pictures that acompany them so it is nice and easy to find, just don't listen to the ramblings of the idiot who wrote it, honestly the weirdest thing I have read for a long time.

Gonna be hard to finish in under 5 hours, I'm having a go now to try and unlock the figurines and get the S rating on each level, will be really hard to do.

How many are there all up? I need another 2, you can find a good majority without a guide, but honestly to find all of them I would be pretty sure you will need help, I'm messaging the people who have platinums on RE5 to find out how they got it, might even ask for some co-op help.

Finally got the time to finish this sucker. Boss fights are the real place this game has it over Dead Space, they rock. Just challenging enough.

The last one took me ages before i realised what to do tho. I must have shot off my full inventory of ammo 10 times before i realised how to finish him off.

I've heard so many people say that and can't for the life of me work out why people found it so hard...I thought it was fairly obvious.

And I'm not being a prick or having a go, but I got to the last boss, and was looking for stupid ways to kill him because so many had said it, and then when I got there it was as plain as day for me

Anyway, what a friggin great game

And I agree Mancey re the boss fights....then again, Resident Evil have always had great bosses.

Just check out the range of bosses in RE4....absolutely brilliant

I thought the final boss in RE4 was pretty good.....not as good as others though.

I thought the only real memorable boss fight in RE4 was against Krauser, and that was due to the general lead up to the battle. Saddler's just a boring huge thing. Meh battle...

Well it's varying tastes. I thought RE4 had some of the (if not the) best bosses every created.

Salazar was an excellent boss, as was Saddler

My favourite being Mendez though (in the buring barn)

Add to that the Lake Boss, the El Gigante fight, all the mini bosses through the game, and Krauser (that interactive knife fight is perhaps my favourite cutscene in gaming history)

I know it has limitations that some aren't happy with ie move and shoot, limited inventory etc.

But to be honest, it's these quirks that make me LOVE this game rather than just really like it. It must be the nostalgia of it all. That warm fuzzy feeling reminding me of nights playing Res 1, 2 and 3 in the 90's. The quirks define the game as a Res Evil game rather than another action title who simply bought the rights to the name.

It is one of those rare occasions where a limitation actually improves the game (imo). Being stuck on the spot whilst shooting makes it very stressful when hordes of zombies are coming at you. And i like that.

My two cents.

I agree with you there actually. Although I think they should have included the cut scenes when opening doors and going up stairs. Classic.

I had the same problem in that it took me ages to finish the last boss off.

Probably didn't help that we spent the first hour or so constantly...

rushing forward to knock the boulder over and pull ourselves up off the cliff only to wonder WTF to do next after unloading our entire inventory of ammo into a thrashing Wesker Seriously we just about got RSI from all the mad button mashing trying to do it so fast to get past him and back on the plateau before we figured it out When we finally killed him we started in horror at the L1 + R1 screen appear when the controllers were down and our beers were in our hands

I'm not sure but one of the BSAA emblems I saw when I was on the hover craft had to be shot by my AI partner (who obviously didn't), so I'm assuming you have to be in co-op mode to achieve that? What if you don't have any friends?....like HBK
