One swallow doesn't make a summer.
And I reckon if we didn't have blitz it wouldn't work.
Can't knock the saints for it. I really like hickey. Similar player.

But they won't find them. The pair is a key factor. They are stronger a pair than each individual... but that means that it has an element of luck to it . Blitz was not planned as a midfielder. The recruitment managers will be after talls with gut running ability this year.
But they won't find them.
These guys have both had 3 years put into them.
There's no quick fix.
If I was a recruiter I'd prioritise drafting like this.
1/ hard nut who can kick
2/ hard nut who can handball
3/ hard nut
Is Ziebell out of contract? But they won't find them.

We are due some luck. Hopefully no structural damage.Scott on Ch 7's Game Day just then - still unsure on severity of Stanley's injury. But docs knew when Duncan hurt his foot that it was serious, and they don't think that about Stanley, so prognosis is relatively positive.
Sounds a bit like Kelly. But they won't find them.

Just the way he jogged off to the bench I reckon he will be back following the bye.We are due some luck. Hopefully no structural damage.
to be fair one was this beast.I think if Simpson was for against say 211 the size of Simpson at the centre bounces would help.
But like you, I was sitting there tonight watching him work - and it was amazing - thinking that Daws has thrown the remote at the TV and left.
Stanley just killed it out there and Daws would be left wanting. Daws is a solid trier, but Stanley has him covered. And he kicked 2 goals. Daws has 2 in 2 years.
Go Catters
If you are correct, you could save the club lots of medical and MRI expenses!Just the way he jogged off to the bench I reckon he will be back following the bye.
Yeah, I thought when the Saints had him they were looking for another Reiwoldt, and he isn't that. But in the ruck, who knows. When he was at the Saints he had a few very good games but was average at best in 99% of the others. I always thought he had the potential to be a superstar with the right staff and mindset behind him so I was sad to see him leave the Saints- I think you guys will mould him into a much better player than we could though. Look forward to watching him over the next few years.
I'm just hoping Goddard will be good for us so it'll be a win-win haha.
I picked Simpson three weeks back so I have form.If you are correct, you could save the club lots of medical and MRI expenses!

This needs another read, so I'm bumping it.And kudos to you for having the courage to put your hand up, acknowledge you may have under-estimated him, and give credit where it's due.
Well played Sir.
Aha! I've figured it out, that's why we recruited Padraig. We are due some luck. Hopefully no structural damage.
My gut feel on Goddard is that you have to nail what his best position is right from the start. When he was at the Saints he had a few very good games but was average at best in 99% of the others. I remember watching his pre draft vids. For mine there was too much talk about him being able to go forward.
I think he could provide plenty of run off half back.
But he'll need time there to learn when to peel off and attack.
I think they'll be very cautious about his return, a bit of wrapping in cotton wool + give him some extra time. Sad though, Stanley was super on Friday night + we're desperate for him!Just the way he jogged off to the bench I reckon he will be back following the bye.
