What was that guys name that played full back in the mid-late eighties? Quite stocky, slightly balding. Ablett used to have a field day on him. Should never have pulled boots on.

Unfortunately these duds are shoved in with some of the greats of the club. Can you believe they have names like Francis Bourke and Robert Wiley mixed in with some of the duds in that list.

Honeybun actually played pretty well for a while until his back was stufed, would have registered a few BOGs along the way which would normally be outside the definaition of a complete dud
Todd Menegola ....... now there is a man who has slipped though all your nets . Came over from WA with huge fanfare . Was barely up reserve grade standard but they had to give him a few games just to try and save themselves comlete embarassment .

aghhh Andy G, unfortuanetly never had the ability to meet his ambitions, never fault enthusiasm, I have a feeling he still plays local footy...I get more frustrated at the likes of strawbs O'dwyer, Brennan, BLUMFIELD that all came to RFC with at least some semblance of a reputation only to be worse than the likes of Goodwin....In recent times it's good fortune rather than good management that some youngsters actually defy the environment they're in and succeeds

watched him play for Wandin in a grand final a few years ago.
Won the game off his own boot believe it or not.
I remember reading the Fleas book and he basically said we would never win a flag with players like Goodwin in it.
Who Remembers his last game playing in the two's for Melbourne in a GF. He went absoulutly crazy.

CJH, Adam Slater kicked a bag of goals for East Burwood a couple of weeks ago. Someone was probably swinging his leg for him.
I've posted this before, I was at a game where we were getting flogged and a dog ran onto the field. A bloke in front of me was screaming his head off at the Richmond bench to leave the dog on and take Laffy off.
I laughed the 2nd time I read this as much as the 1st.
Peter Czerkaski and Gary Frangalas for me.
Andy Goodwin was one of the few bright spots for me. I think he was one of our most reported players. He wasnt there to play footy, just to thump players.
I wont forget the game where Dermott Brerton knocked Czerkaski out cold and they stretchered him off. On came Goodwin who didnt even wait until the ball went up the other end of the ground. He just thumped Brereton on the spot and knocked him on his ars.
It was for these moments we kept going to the footy every week, and Andy rarely disappointed me.

He was one of the many ruckmen we managed to trade to Collingwood. I think there were 4 altogether in the 90's before they finally wised up! From what I remember, he made David Bourke look like Arnie Schwarzenegger!
The ruckmen we traded to Collingwood are Schaefer, Brad Smith, Matthew Francis and Stunning Steve McKee.
