Interested in the way GWS is approaching the setting up of their list if this rumour is correct.

Suggests they will take a mixture of ' foot soldiers ' - And not only rely on youngsters.

Could also mean that they may have their eyes on bigger fish in 2012.

The trouble with alot of you is that you love every player that much, you actually believe none of them have big enough weaknesses to be considered unworthy of a spot on the EFC list.

It brings me great amusement to see the level of outrage that spews forth when a player like Dyson is criticized.

get a grip some of you ffs

Can and do think players aren't worthy of a spot, been many over the years, but don't party like it's 1999 like you when they do finally get cut lose.

I'm not having a party. Just having an opinion. Too blunt for some unfortunately..

Must be getting old, when I was young we got cut every time we lost and eventually we got cut loose..Get it right folks,
For what it is worth, time we cut our losses and cut Ricky loose from the pack before he gets cut about not getting a game because he can't cut the mustard...I agree with Shane Baulk Heard on this one,,, cut Ricky (I shall not refer to him as Dyson because we have a good one now, he plays like a Ricky not a Dyson) while we can still pinch anything for him... :cool:
 
Assuming this is true, I don't blame him he doesn't have much job security at Essendon and was continually overlooked whilst putting in good performances at Bendigo this year. That said I'm not saying our coaching staff was wrong either, with Dempsey/Hibberd back next year I reckon that there is no spot for Dyson in the future without plenty of injuries. I do reckon he was better than Slattery though. At least Dyson could rebound pretty well and was a nice kick and wasn't far off Slattery defensively either.

He will be a good fit for GWS for a couple of years, giving them an extra senior player who can play a bit and take off a bit of pressure from their young developing players. The more senior players they can get the better, they don't really want to be Gold Coast Mk2 I don't think, Gold Coast had about 14 senior players, I reckon GWS will want about 18 seasoned players that are physically ready for an AFL season. Dyson I could see playing as either rebounding defender, wingman or even as a half forward flanker perhaps.

If rick does go to gws and extend his career, all the best to him. The fact that the club has already said Prismall will get a contract probably took dyson's spot on the list. Which is ironic as they are house mates and best mates
