If Frematle play hard ball and want Pick 24 and Steven Browne and Jamie Charman is put on the market, what would you do?

Not sure which way I lean on this scenario.

Nothing wrong with Charman. He's the big body we need while developing Kruezer and Hampson.

I'd take that trade in a blink.

I am pretty sure that any first year players drafted in 2007 national draft can't be traded before their first contract expires. Hence I don't think Browne or Armfield will be part of the deal for Warnock as they woudl both have 2 year deals.

We can ill afford to give away our developing talent. Let Freo sweat on gaining nothing for Warnock via the PSD

If more than Blackwell/Benjamin had to be added to pick 24, then I'd rather keep the pick for a long term KP forward and continue with the Cloke/Kreuze/Hampson combination that was used to good effect during the year and will only be better after another pre-season.

Pick 24 in this draft is too valuable to trade for a player who doesn't at least have the potential to be dominant for 10+yrs (ie. not Charman/Seaby).

Agreed.

Brown is too valuable to us as he looks like being that hard nut small defender we need to add some grunt down back.

We are paying for hype and potential with Warnock. Nothing else. He has had 3 good games. One of those was against Ackland and Setanta, one vs the Dons (one good half..........Hille and Layjoke), and one vs Saints vs King (some kudos for this).

He dropped his bundle and sooked when sent back to the WAFL.

So, the upshot is he is tall, athletic, has an attitude problem and hasn't done much in 17 of his 20 AFL games.......18 if you discount ours.

Anyone who tries to sell you more than this is basing their opinion in hope.........ask Tiges fans about hope (i.e. Tambling).

If Browne were involved then the pick would have to drop to 40, unless we get a thirty something by other means.

Absolutely spot on BY.:thumbsu:

What I dont understand is why everyone is saying he can take no.1 ruck spot while we wait for Hampson/Kreuzer to develop. Is he really that far ahead of Hampson in terms of both physicality and game development?

This looks like one for Bluebear...(surely the answer is still on your clipboard and all you have to do is click paste) ;):p

PS In terms of game development he would be ahead of Hampson.

How much so? He's only a year older isn't he?

Sorry AWG, I meant Hampson, I've edited my post :o

Warnock is ahead of Hampson in game development because he's been playing the game for a lot longer, Hampson only started in 2004.

In terms of game development, Kreuzer is a natural footballer with elite skills, he rucks because he is 200cm tall, but in the absence of freakish vertical leap and being only 19, he obviously needs to put on some bulk before he can start dominating ruck contests, in every other facet of the game he'd be well ahead of almost any other ruck in the game :thumbsu:

In terms of physical development he would be behind Hampson.

You can't actually see Warnock when he turns side on..........he wants to leave Subi because when the Freo doctor springs up, he can only run one way.:D

He started from a lot further behind too. Apparently has managed to put on 10kg a pre-season for 2 pre-seasons now.

If only he had a nose like Big Cox :p

True.......makes you wonder how much more weight he can put on that frame before it starts to breakdown.
