if he kicks 5 ea week he'll have a 100 goals by the end of the yearlisten, if he goes out ea week and kicks his 4 or 5 , yes, he'll be a very good player
Kind of agree with you, but think you might be selling the kid a bit short. He won't be elite, but he's much better than a 3rd forward. He'll be a game breaker, elite at his role (maybe like a Micky O in that he won't be the reliable key forward but he'll be a gun 2nd or 3rd forward), but not our long term No. 1 forward.

Fair point.I didn't really mean the third best forward, just that he could play the third forward role extremely well. Shit, Gary Ablett was a HFF for the first half of his career, and he was still a superstar - you don't have to play FF or CHF to be a dominant forward.
Not sure if he will be Elite! but he can definantly be one of the best forwards in the league similar to a Barry Hall at the swans! Not Quite elite but definantly a good forward.
...if cam mooney with his woefull kicking style is considered good enough to play CHF for a premiership side like geelong...
...then jack by comparison is definitely Elite!......
Reiwoldt has hunched shoulders which means he looks shorter than he is. He runs with his back perfectly straight which sees him with a very upright running style with very short strides.
When he runs slowly he has a lot of roll in hs running action. When he gets up to speed he has as much-up-and-down action as forward. Very bouncy.
He is extremely slow, particularly off the mark. He takes so many contested marks because he can't get away from his defender. He will be the slowest player in the draft, and the slowest player at Richmond. That is quite unusual - normally the guys who take small steps (Rodan) have good acceleration and agility - Reiwoldt doens't.
His main weapon is to play from behind, put his shoulder in his opponents back, then execute that falling-backwards contested mark that Andy Kellaway had as a trade mark.
His lack of pace and mobility means he can't play defence.
He can't play as a leading forward because every defender in the league can match him for pace.
His lack of vertical leap and lack of genuine height (just 193-ish but plays shorter) makes CHF a tough ask.
His main attributes are superb footy smarts and very good field kicking. He gets his touches from reading the play well. From losing his man i trafiic. His main trick is to head towards a pack or marking contest, then when his opponent gets sucked-in to the contest - Reiwoldt moves away and takes up dangerous positions.
He has a great knack for not following the ball into the packs For example the ball is kicked inside 50 and is on the HFF. Reiwoldt won't charge into FF but hang back and make himself available for the cross-field pass.
Once he has the ball he uses it well. Makes good decisions and sets up goals.
I think we need to hire a specialist running coach to teach him how to run. Change his running pattern. If we can do that and get him very fit he might become a midfielder.
He isn't a KP player. He isn't a midfielder. He is a 3rd-forward and quite frankly not in the class of Meyer.
Terrible choice.
And Meyer is such a star.young Voldt needs to kick some bags this year

He needs to do it week in week out, something he hasn't been able to do in the past. Ask us at the end of the season.
Rubbish. Jack will never be and never looked like being a clone of Nick Riewoldt.
To put that expectation on his is plain silly.
Crap.had he been trained by the right people with a coaching staff that gave a dam he would have been as elite as his cousin, there may still be time on his side.....
never said he was to be a clone of nick, just rated as highly for his own style of footy.
Crap.
He si not fit to do his cousin's shoelaces and not many forwards in the game are. Not the club's fault.
Jack will be a very good player for the RFC. The sooner we stop comparing him to his cousin, the better.
Which is no where near Nick's ability to play that style of footy.
The reality is that Jack is a poor man's Nick, however it's fortunate that a poor man's nick does mean he can be a good player andis the ability to be a solid to good CHF.![]()
You either overrate Jack or underrate Nick.
