There's a passage of play in there where gets a ground ball (crumbing off his own marking attempt) and just shrugs off McKay, before dishing off to Soligo for a goal assist. He did a similar thing last week where he put in several efforts, refusing to be taken to ground in the goal square, bustled his way through the defender, and dished off a goal assist to Rankine.

That combination of competitiveness and sheer strength is such a weapon.

It sounds silly but really last year was cooked the second he went down in the practice game. Incredibly important to us.

I think the time the injury allowed him to spend in the weights room developing his upper body may actually be a bigger long-term benefit.

Yeah agree, it'll be a massive test for our midfield.
We haven't gone too well against them up there (or Darwin) recently, I recall their midfield always had large periods of dominance the last few times. Think it was 2023 in Darwin, we started strongly and from half way through the 2nd quarter, it felt like our mids could barely get their hands on the ball.
Their key forwards are also huge and in form, while our key backs look vulnerable with Murray out.

There is some serious over hyping on the MB and most of it seems because Darcy kicked 7 goals once and RT hasn't.... Really dumb stuff.

I can't see Darcy going anywhere regardless of the offer.
His grandfather played for the Bulldogs, his father played for the Bulldogs, and his father is on the board at the club.
The only thing missing is he didn't support the club growing up, he supported Essendon.
