There's a passage of play in there where gets a ground ball (crumbing off his own marking attempt) and just shrugs off McKay, before dishing off to Soligo for a goal assist. He did a similar thing last week where he put in several efforts, refusing to be taken to ground in the goal square, bustled his way through the defender, and dished off a goal assist to Rankine.

That combination of competitiveness and sheer strength is such a weapon.

He's gotta be one of the best big men below his knees. His ground ball work is great by a normal player's standards, some of his pick ups blow my mind.

Comparing him to Larkey trying to pick up a ball on the wing last week really showed how good this aspect of his game is.

I know he hasnt had huge numbers, but Neal-Bullen is the biggest shift when you consider who he replaced.

Has had a handful of rushed moments, but many more of a significant step up in class, particularly the Essendon and NM games.

Yeah i will say he's been one who's missed a couple easy ones. Looks good from the set shot but hes missed a couple "relatively easy" snaps.

I don’t disagree, but to me he’s looked rushed, missed a few easy goals in the first 2 games.

ANB hasn't been a noted goalkicker throughout his career (seeing there are only four years in his career where he's produced > 10 goals), so it's more likely this is just something he's genuinely inconsistent at instead of rushing.

He needs to be a bit more selfish

I think thats what was behind his HTB when he had a clear space at goal and instead looked to hand off

They just compliment each other beautifully. Thilthorpe likes to roam inside forward 50 and hard lead at the ball carrier. Fog has seemed most settled further up the ground and then pushing back towards goal. They also rarely get in each others leading patterns which has been commented on by media pundits too.

Yeah probably not as agile.

But these are the three best key forwards for the next era IMO.
