RIP David Norman

Saddened to hear the news that David Norman passed away on Wednesday.
Dave was a massive part of my Tiger supporter story (which I'll go into later) as leader of the Richmond cheer squad for such a long time.
Gonna miss seeing him behind the goals at the Punt Rd End.
I understand the club will be honouring David over the next day or two.
True Tiger Champion who bled Yellow and Black.

Always laughed when I saw Dave before a game and I'd ask him how he was doing and he'd always say "ask me again in a 2 and a half hours.

Knew Dave from my early years as a member of the cheer squad his passion and desire to see Richmond succeed was 2nd to none. Rain hail or shine, whether we were winning or getting thumped Dave was there week in week out. Even in later years I would still see Dave taking his spot every week in the cheer squad. Condolences to his family and friend at this difficult time.

I’ve got incredible admiration for people like David because he gave so much to our beloved Tigers. He really did bleed yellow and black and will be difficult to replace. I didn’t know him, outside of the trivia night at the London Tavern on Wednesday that David ran.

Never met the man but recall seeing his face regularly when I first attended games mid 80’s.
