I've about lost interest in this side. #eco.

Two crap weeks in a row. Not many learnings to take out of that unfortunately. Few players need to be put out to pasture for us to advance.

We are going nowhere with the likes of Heppell, Kelly, Snelling, Guelfi and Laverde in the side.

Heppell and Phillips are definite dead weights and can't take our selves seriously if they're getting a spot over others (but there's no one).

We can still beat GWS, Syd, WCE and North to make the finals but I'd rather miss and have the hunger for next year after an off-season of tough but neccesary changes.

Ignoring the elephant in the room. Yes it was bad, can't do anything about it.

Of what can actually be controlled, well there's plenty.
Stringer should see VFL time. Not fit enough to play on-ball enough, not offering pressure, not kicking goals he should when he does get the chance.
Going inside 50 we are braindead. It's kick to Wright and hope, but teams work it out by double teaming him because we have no other legitimate avenues if that's legit the only tactic we go with.
McGrath and Heppell had shockers, and Redman went completely missing after the first quarter.
The midfield mix just doesn't work, especially if Merrett gets tagged (note on this is that we desperately miss Setterfield).
There's only so much pressure Ridley, BZT and Laverde can manage before it breaks open. The midfield is still complete ass defensively.
And on Cox, if he can't use his height to take a mark then what does he offer? Struggled to see much of it tonight.

Obviously still a very young side but still a lot of simple things going wrong.

Our team is so unbalanced it's ridiculous.

0 small forwards. No forward pressure.
3 mid sized forwards, only 1 is in afl form, doesnt help.
A bunch of mids playing out of position so that we can lose the midfield battle anyway. And we can't even really rotate them because our starting mids can't play elsewhere.
No key back and only 2 decent kicks in a back line that wants to slow play possession (inevitable turn overs). Not to mention they struggle defensively in the air and on the ground.
Cox is not a winger, stop trying to force something that has shown no signs of working.

And I don't care how good Parish can be, the mix doesn't work. We aren't necessarily better without him, but if you aren't a generatinal contested bull or an elite ball user, you can't be as limited as he is. Restricts what you can sorround him with, because he can't play anywhere else but on the ball.
