Id feel pretty comfortable in saying that this thread probably only requires a one-word answer. Who is going to replace Embley?

embley actually looked pretty good after the game, walking around and smiling.

i know that's not much to go on, but i think he'll be fine for next week.

only possible change for mine is butler for smith and even that is debatable i guess.

Pick someone as a specialist sub, Hams back into the 21 for Embley. Give him the week off even if he could get up.

Not sure who that specialist sub is - McGinnity maybe? He made a pretty good fist of it last year.

Is Embley OK? I would have thought that even if he was, that they would give him the week off anyway. I hope that if they bring someone in this week and make them the sub, that they give them more than one quarter.

Out: Smith, Embley
In: Mcginnity/Butler, Swift/Newman/Stevens

Smith wasn't bad, but identifiable as our worse (or at least bottom 3) two weeks in a row. Won't make too much noise if he stays though.

Embers if he's fit but if not bring someone in, even if its as the sub. Hammer played excellently, should get the 21.

Stevens in, probably as the sub.

I don't want to alter the composition of the team but it would be a good opportunity for us to rest some senior players. If this were 2011, Kerr would be rested, but who knows this year.

Stevens or McGinnity in as the sub for mine. Not sure if we can afford to have our specialist forward pocket as the sub against the good teams (obviously doesnt matter against GWS).

.

Smith played his role and was solid. Definitely kept his place in the team :thumbsu:

How's Kerr's back going to pull up once he has cooled down? We know of Kerr's previous back problems, and copping a knee in the back couldn't have done it any good.

Rest Embley, Kerr and Cox. These star players aren't required vs GWS. It's a good opportunity to give some lesser lights a go. We sure don't want our aging stars playing in a game that should be an automatic win, and unnecessarily risking injury before the big clash against Hawthorn. Given it's a long season, allow these guys to take a game off given they'll be required most other weeks. Take the breaks where they can be afforded to be had, no matter what stage of the season it is.

maybe Rosa who had a massive ice pack on his right thigh out for Stevens .

Early wins and percentage should be maximized without resting players until the 2nd half of the season

Anyone else notice Waters spending some time at HF? I know people have been calling for it for a long time on here. Could be a sign that Worsfold and co know how many options we have for HBF's.

I would love to see Brennan get a game this weekend.

Out: Smith , Embley (inj)
In: Brennan , Sheppard

Same here with Smith. Not sure he has proved enough in the last 2 games. If they'd been close or we lost one/both people would be calling for his head. It's easy to gloss over average performances when we win by so much.

I'd love to give Butler a run.

Do you mean Lewis Stevenson or Koby Stevens ?

Lewis Stevensn has been much more impressive and deserves his chance, more than Koby does at this stage.

Everyone seems to be raving about Stevenson, given he would be coming in for Embley (assuming he's the only out) does he have the tank get up and down the wings at AFL level?
