Yep just review every goal behind the scenes, if it can be DEFINITIVELY agreed that a call is wrong before the ball is bounced, bring it back but otherwise play on.

No stopping the play and going to a review.

Otherwise give each team 1 incorrect challenge a half or something

Problem is when the goal umpire calls it a point and is wrong. If you don’t stop for a review the ball is kicked out and gone.

At least with a goal you get time before the bounce to fix an error.

Yet they claim every score is reviewed...

Jake Carlisle's lawyer looks familiar.
It is Dermot Dann, the barrister for Jake King.

Second goal umpire sits on a high chair overlooking the goal/point posts...just like they do at the tennis...works for Tennis should work for footy...
Double fault! No goal!!
Stick a goal post up the arse of every goal reviewer we've had and make them call it from up there

Fans would love it

No problem...how many times a match would that occur to make it a farcical situation...?!?
Kick it out....play on...if it was a goal...adjust it at the end of the Q...

I think the umpires can be backed in to make this call 90% of the time. Maybe we just play on and suck it up?? At the moment we can’t review if a ball has gone over the boundary line before a buddy franklin cracker from the boundary - so there’s already a realm which we cannot control.

If everyone just takes their hands off the wheel and relaxes a bit there’ll be less fuss made as we won’t feel the need to scrutinise everything to the tiniest detail and get 100% correct.

I have a feeling we're going to get rolled. :(
Do you have that feeling often?

I think we will pick up our game. We have to.

going to be interesring watching the 3 rd quarter Sat night both teams are terrible in them at moment .
We actually showed some signs of waking up in our third quarter this time.

True it was a pretty good fight back when they had total momentum .
We have to do three things:

Work hard.
Pressure them.
Lower the eyes.

We do all these and they will not be able to handle us.

Umpire's call is the default. They should review the footage, but if the ball leaves the goal square (either through a kick in or to go back to the middle), it should be too late. If they can't decide within 10 seconds then it's clearly not beyond reasonable doubt.

Ess started, and finished, well.
Five goal first quarter and six goal final quarter.
They scored five goals in the first quarter versus Geelong too.

Nope, not often at all. Been a bit more confident this year. Probably was only worried about the Norf game.

I'm naturally pessimistic, but I always think we should win when we come up again a side who isn't as good as us. Like this week. Granted, we have to play better than we have been, but we should not lose this game.
