Impressive video! Hard at it, strong mark, long accurate kick and doesn't like giving the ball up. Reassuring to have a kid like that coming through with some midfield depth lost recently.

Happy with the our pick ups. Liked what I saw of Allwright at the champs, good pair of hands, uses it well and has a real crack.

Bit disappointed we didn't take an extra tall. Especially with Gugliotta still floating around. That being said we have drafted 4 players that have the potential to all play AFL standard football, which is a good thing

I don't know too much about Varcoe, but I'm really happy with Weadon and Allwright. Those two with Ranga give our midfield a really nice looking depth.

Thanks for the vid. Looks a lot like Joel Bowden to me in the way he moves and marks. I know it's only TAC but there's a lot to like.

I don't know too much about Varcoe, but I'm really happy with Wheadon and Allwright. Those two with Ranga give our midfield a really nice looking depth.

Could have gone as early as a late 2nd rounder if he didn't do his knee.

Similar story to Trav. Highly rated, but missed the year due to injury.

wouldnt be surprised if that was one of the deciding factors in drafting adam. one rookie spot for a 50% improvement in a bloke who appears to need the extra confidence...

Its to do with the GC, each club can have extra rookies so they can stockpile talent.

I remember when I sat with Travis earlier this year at the Season Launch that he mentioned his brother was coming through the system, good to see them together. It will help Travis too because he does get a bit homesick.

Shame we didnt get Cornelius too when you watch the Allwright tape.

Really felt we needed some bigger body mids to balance out the list.

In theory and at this early stage very pleased with the 8 overall we took.

Only just THP. But with the amount of surprises in the first round it was really hit and miss.

Weadon is a bigger body mid. 88kgs 185cms. This Rookie draft has me reasonably excited. Wells has done a brilliant job... again.

This is the first time I have been genuinely excited by a bunch of rookies. Allwright and Weadon as you can say can play that bigger type roll. Interesting if you look at Allwrights video he is strong over his head. It wasn't something I had originally noted down.

Both of those two have played VFL this year which is a bonus. Weadon averages 28 touches a game in the TAC which is impressive. Reminds me a lot of Nathan Jones at Melbourne.

Ranga will be a gun. Should play games next year I think.

Your right about the Varcoe's both pick 15. While we are at it, they both missed a large proportion of the season they were drafted in with season ending injuries. (Adam with his knee and Trav with his ankle.)

Also interesting to note Trav was talked as a top 5 pick before his injury, while Adam was a late 2nd rounder. Both got huge talent and our side will be better with it.
