Rookie Draft and PSD (Joel Perry)

Should Richmond select Joel Perry in the rookie draft? And who should we select in the PSD?

We should draft Perry in the PSD.

Between Perry & Thursfeild I'd be confidence of having one of the two (if not both) turn out a solid full back.

Sam Jacobs is probably the only ruckman left worth taking, but I suspect he may go before our first rookie pick, and I wouldn't use a PSD on him. Would rather us get a Key Back in the PSD, maybe Joel Perry or an undrafted QLD full-back, Gavin Grose. Mammoth kick on him apparently.

Wallace is using PODS as a key-defender in training. He can also go forward, is younger than Kingsley and has proven himself at VFL level. Joel Perry is to much like Andrew Kellaway (can't kick, one position). PODS is a much better choice.

the reason he was delisted was because he didnt sign with them
they offered him a 1 year deal prob just over a month ago
he said no because richmond and sydney offered him a 2 year deal
so he pretty much walked in the end

yeah fair enough, just think its a little strange if they offered him a 1 year deal and he walked that he is still training there. if we were interested surely he would be training with us.

Would be over the moon with Perry. Kingsley would be a solid get - worst case he kicks bags for the Burgers (hello finals footy) and makes Hughes/Reiwoldt have to earnt their spot in the seniors.

Not so sure about Skipworth or Corrie - would prefer to stear away from both.

I thought both Batsanis & Kelly looked outstanding during the TAC GF. Would be pleased to see either down Punt Road via the rookie draft. Ditto Craig Bird, Leigh Adams & Tom Hurley.

Who did Skipworth play for again?
I suppose this means Cam Howat won't get on the senior list next year (barring injury). He is 22 next year so that means it's his last year on the rookie list. What if there are no long-term injuries next year?

the tiges and sydney offered but he wanted to see if kangas came back with something and by the time he realised they were not going to rich and syd went cold on him
i remember after we got polak trade week they asked miller will you trade for perry now and he said no im going home

TW did say today though that they might not take kingsley and might take someone else training at another club????
