Matthew Long is a fair way off it. Would be as poor as a selection as Tim OKeefe. His u/18 grand final was terrible and was pantsed by Mckay. Have heard (obviously not too realiable see Selwood) that Essendon are very keen on Wellingham from WA who I know nothing about. Daniel Hayes has some support among our recruiters but drafting davey and Houli may nix his chances. I like Alex Lee as a young tall defender and Ben Jolley, James Ezard and Adam Iacobucci will be all considered according to my Cannons sources which are very reliable.

Whats the story with A. Horne and F. Caruso foj1?

Has the curse of being too small taken their chances at a shot of an AFL career?

Tom Hurley should be our number 1 target in my opinion. In order of preference:

1. Tom Hurley (Midfielder)
2. Robert Eddy ( Midfielder)
3. Leigh Adams ( Midfielder)
4. Shaun (?) Colbung (Midfielder/forward)
5. Nathan Batsanis (Midfielder)
6. Sam Jacobs (Ruckmen)
7. Dean Kelly ( midfielder)

How many mids do we need ? We took 5 mids(yes i know Jetta,Davey and Riemer played as forwards but they where picked with the midfield in mind) in the nat draft plus we have Lonergan and Hocking who are untired at senior level. We already have a ruckman on our rookie list. Rama will be another so in reality i hope we pick two talls.
The rookie list is probably the best place to develop a couple of the lesser talls and it will give us Rama, Hocking, McKinnon and two talls for the rookie list.

There really isnt a lot of talent left in the tall timber stakes though, there was a hell of alot more taken this year than ever before so unless we can find a player who's worth a spot why give a spot to another Aaron Henneman over a midfielder who could actually be worth it?

There are a few young talls who are still worth looking at , remember Henno was actually a reasonable prospect until the injuries started to come. Grose will probably end up with Brisbane but there are others , Lee is one.
