Genuine lulz. Smart footballer, but he is no speedster. Riggio is sharp but I watched him motor away from Brabazon at abotu 80% today.
Probably his defensive game is all that is holding him back, but a very likely type.

He's hardly a gun. this years his first year of being a constant league player.
One who may get through to the rookie draft is Cam Grover from East Perth. Quick, good disposal on both feet, strong overhead for his size. Knows where to run to get the ball. Impressive young bloke.

Was going to say something about hindsight being a wonderful thing in regards to Ian Richardson. Was going to say it's easy to ask why has the guy never been drafted when he's kicked arly 60 goals this year and done nothing before, but then I actually checked the stats and he's kicked 166.83 in the past three seasons.
Also, he's only been held goalless twice in his career, so the bloke knows where the goals are.
At 179cm and 74 kg, isn't he what we're looking for? Draft the bloke already!!

It's one of the real mysteries to me. I have been certain we'd rookie list him for the past couple of years.
respect your opinion on guglielmana, but after watching the vics clean up our state side this year i can understand why we would go for vic players.
There were some very good performances by players in that game its just most were by players wearing the bigV.
Forget how Richardson went in that game but being a forward when your being flogged its easy to be forgotten.
Freo seem to have done well with barlow and silvagni as mature age recruits.
If your looking for mature age recruits we would be foolish not to look at the VFL.
I personally like the look of Sampey as a KPD on the rookie list if we delist both Sphangher and Wilkes, and possibly Bones.

This is so far off the mark it's not funny.
Gugs is a good WAFL player, skinnier than Wolfendon and skills too match. Got a big tank but he's along way off the mark, has had time to build his body up, hasnt and any club that was stupid enough to take him would have him off their list in two years.
In regards to Richardson, if TDL can get picked up and make a go of it, Richardson could do all that and then some.
Who was Brabazon up against?
This is the same kid who used to dominate Colts footy for Claremont, comfortably won the best player award in his last year.
Yet he slipped to the last rounds.
Why? Questions over his pace, no doubt he has grown and filled out alot, but he is hardly a speedster.

Brabazon did pretty well at the combine 5 th in the Beep test, 5th best agility and fifth fastest over 20 mtr so Mayneman that would suggest he is not slow. I have watched him several times this year for Claremont and I would rate his pace as a real assett.

Congratulations to Nathan Phillips who despite suffering a season ending knee injury in round 15 still managed to take out South Fremantle's Best and Fairest ahead of Ashton Hams and Adam Gugs.
A pretty fair indication of the calibre of footy this kid played before he went down. Went from a fringe league player last year to a last 24 state player now a Club best and Fairest.
Has blossomed since his departure from Peel and really put his hand up in the midfield role this year. Will be interesting to see if any club is willing to take a punt on him after his knee reco.
