Not sold on Young yet now that we have Gibcus there. That makes it an inexperienced tall BL with two struggling backmen in Broad and Grimes. Miller needs to play FB beside Gibcus as he's tougher, cleaner faster and better equipped than Young in taking a monster forward. Miller will eventually break into the side with Brown, Trezise, Sonsie and KMAC2. It's only when the MC finally realize the old campaigners are taking us nowhere.
Even if (or when) we make the decision we can't make it and play the kids it would be ludicrous to not have Grimes or Broad out there (probably alternate each week as on ground coach)

True but reckon their midfield will torch us unless Bolton, Dusty and co can stand up and be counted. Having nightmares of Rowells demolition job last week.
We are NO chance if their midfielders dominate and Curow and McKay get regular supply.
Can’t just go with 3 plodders in there at the same time. You need some explosiveness around Hopper, Taranto and Prestia. We look sooo much more dangerous when Bolton is in there.
But our forward line looks so much more potent when he’s down there

I'm starting a movement to put Dan Rioli and Jack Ross on the wings. Makes us look 100 times better, gets some foot skills and speed around the ball, helps get games into Brown or Trezise at half back and fast tracks the rebuild by phasing out a Kmac or Pickett quicker.

Fisher is the one to watch. No where near as bad as OGorman or Deboy but still a dickhead when it comes to 'umpiring' Richmond games.

I think Young is fine. People are just expecting a bloke we picked up from the VFL to be a star defender, when in reality he should be second or third banana back there.
Young did a good enough job on King, especially given the way the ball came down in the first half. The first goal was on Gibcus, not that he could do much about it, another goal was a very soft over the shoulder, if he even touched him. He got another out the back, and he was beaten once or twice.
