Pearce looked like he copped a heavy knock a minute or two before the final siren. Still walking gingerly after the siren. Be a watch.

Fred runs hot and cold, but he kicks goals consistently. Switkowski not so muchPeople coming at Switta after last week is pretty funny. Guess Freddy isnt a premiership forward either or are you happy with him this week?

Very silly damning any individual on that game when we know there has been illness running through the club.McVeeFreddyWornerVossBrennan CoxSwitta needs to be dropped! And somehow, no matter who needs to be dropped, it's always Cooper Simpson that needs to come in! (even tho he's been quite average in the twos)
Maybe the team is going good because...the team is good. Good enough that any host of players can have 1 bad game and it's not team-destroying coz others step up.
Switta's been good since the 4th qtr of the Adelaide game, and was brilliant against the Bulldogs, before a quiet one tonight. Anyone who looks at fwds beyond seeing the G column on a statsheet would know that. There's this silly image that no flag-winning small fwd can offer value beyond the scoreboard. It's honestly harder to find flag-winning teams that don't have those types than ones that do.

This team is greater than the sum of its parts.
Scan on the leg todayAlex is always sore after a game so I wouldn’t worry about it too much
just waiting for him in those CBA opportunities to run through some players with his size and speed, but just hasnt put it together.Ahhh Johnno, 2 steps forward, 1 step back. He was legitimately terrible last night (and I thought he wasnt as bad as made out last week). Hopefully it's a case of being sick or whatever Voss had (who bounced back nicely).
I really really think they need to give Pearce a break for this game, that's about the only change I'd make
No it's not, it's factual. Not every player will be 100% every game and if you've played competitive sport you know that. When they take the field, I think fans can expect they’re 100%.
That’s a massive cop out
Yeah just saw it. Probably broken in three placesScan on the leg today
Barely noticed Johnson at the game watching except a number of missed tackles. Then he got a couple of kicks late incl. the nice i50 to young at the end. So given he had a few late possessions and checking the stats ended up with 6 was an MIA for the rest of the game. There isn't any changes that are clear, a few that were down overall but the team worked pretty well except from some execution issues.
Individually I thought Johnson wasn't great and Switta also had a very average game.
On the flipside that was probably Mason Cox's best game for us, and Jackson lifted the hype to a new level.
Even early in the game Pearce seemed to be off the ground for decent periods of time.

It's up to the TEAM to win the game and that's exactly what they did last night.
Switta was one of our best last week, last night he had a down night.
Next week Jacko might have a poor game, calling for him to go out would then be just as dumb.

Thanks - he was definitely off for quite a few minutes in the first quarter, which was odd. After the early spanking Luke Ryan copped from Gunston our group in the stands were saying time to move Pearce to him. Then we looked and he wasn’t on the ground but on the bench and stayed on the bench for a while before coming on and going back to Hawks no. 38 (Ramsden I think) who he started on.89% time on ground.
=4th most in the side for time spent on the field.
With Jackson playing forward a lot it looked like they were trying to save rotations for the runners, both Wagner and Erasmus played 2/3rds of the game.
Looked like we took care of sore bodies with the rotations
The coach spoke in his press conference about how he chatted with Pearce after the game and said he was fine. I guess that is what he would be expected to say. Likely precautionary but significant enough soreness to warrant scans. What shits me, is why wouldn’t he ice it? Reduce swelling, speeds up recovery.
