BRM from before the North Game says: Be nice

Seeing how fatigued all players were tonight shows that the 5 day back up is just madness. Interesting to see who gets rested, tough call because it's a hugely important game .

Huge Opportunity this one. Better turn up this time and not be an embarrassment like the last time we had an opportunity game at the Gabba.
Turn up? Did you not just see the guys slog it out for 4 qtrs
In the worst weather for football available.

If they get beat by 10goals after a 5 day break.. it’s on the AFL

Yeah it’s unfair for sure but it’s an opportunity.
Might have to make another 6 changes to compensate but we have the Darwin Nous to have an advantage with the unique conditions.

Jeffrey played well at HB with some good disposal and run. Definitely stick with him for a while to play the Powell/Luko role. Sexton was also fine and Uwland attacked the contest hard.

Difficult to drop any of them, really. Unless VFL game or injury happens.

Humphrey needs to come in.

Maybe Holman comes out. Davies if he is still sore could be sub or just rested. Rogers might be rested too.

Fiorini and maybe Swallow as inclusions.

Basically just making changes based on soreness/fitness though.

Unless we got injuries nobody is flown in. VFL game is tomorrow. Changes will come from emergencies if any - Swallow, Fiorini, Day.

We are 5 and 4, with Geelong, Carlton and Essendon in our next 3. At least need to be 6 and 6 after that run.

Geelong without Hawkins, Cameron and Dangerfield is a huge opportunity. I absolutely hate these pricks so please get it done.

Tyson Stengle could be a problem for us without Powell this week.

I would lock wittsy in one of those walk in freezers for the next few days and try tp get him up for this one. It's an area that we can have a clear advantage over Geelong so we should look to exploit that, and our midfielders perform so much better when we are roving his hit outs.

Port put a hard tag on Tom Stewart, is that something that Long, Holman or Swallow can replicate because so much of their game comes from that long haired galoot rebounding from the backlines

Humphrey and Fiorini you would think are guaranteed ins. Hard to find anyone that has to come out.
Holman out I'd say. Long does his job better. Humphrey on field. Fiorini? but for who? Jake Rogers? Good to actually have some decisions and options at selection. Will Graham didn't fly - so hard to see him getting in BUT I'd like it. Lloyd Johnston probably the other to be considered for a rest.

This is a really HUGE game for us when you think about it. An opportunity to announce ourselves as a legit finals contender in a nationally televised in a prime time slot of Thursday night, top 4 opposition who are missing three of their best players, a chance to not only get back in the top 8 but also create separation between our wins and losses (6W 4L if we win) with a fairly solid percentage. Really hoping the boys understand how important it is to do the DarWIN Double again this year.

Perhaps most important of all is Dimma's idea of "keeping our head above water" while we wait for it all to click somewhere between R10-R13. A win would give us a nice cushion with two tricky games to come against Carlton (Marvel) and Essendon (Carrara) before we arguably get an easier one against St Kilda on the eve of our bye. Basically we need to win two of our next four against Geelong, Carlton, Essendon and St Kilda to "keep our head above water" going into the bye and an early win over Geelong would be very helpful in that regard.

Come on, Suns! Fire up.
