??

He’s averaging 23 touches, 4.5 tackles and a goal a game over the past five weeks, hard to see what much more he can do to knock down the door tbh.
Hold up. I’d check those stats again. He’s only had one game where he’s had more than 22 disposals this year.

I thought his best games was in R3 & R4. Regardless of stats, he had clearances, won contested ball and set up goals. His impact was tangible. His impact in the past three games has been diminished from the earlier matches. That isn’t knocking the door down, hence not being selected, I’d suggest.

Its actually 23.2 disposals per game and 4.6 tackles per game over the last 5 games, I rounded down.

Regardless of his raw stats, I stand by what I said about his impact. And, again, I’m a big Gross fan.

He’s still only 19 (20 in Sep), he’ll continue to grow. Opportunities will come.

I don’t think he was obese or anything.
Speaking as a fat **** myself I don’t think it would effect his body like that at his age
You could be right we don't know the exact details of how much weight he lost, but if he did have any metabolic issues that would likely cause inflammation which would make healing slower. Compared to a young man that's been fighting fit all his formative years he might not be as willing to go hard because he hasn't built that trust that his body can handle it

New coach inbound

About the right time except Essendon have to pay him 18 months for this sacking. I don't think it affects the Eagles.
I am more worrying about the 2 consecutive high intensity games have affected some senior players' sored body. If this Sunday rain is heavy, we might have to get some fit players in.

He's fit enough to play AFL footy.

You're saying he plays soft because he's lost weight.
Seriously!

Run both ways and tackle more.

He is close to our best in the WAFL but he needs to be much better at those 2 things if he wants to keep his spot in the seniors when he gets his chance.

This game just got put up in ‘danger’ lights. Teams are always a little more unpredictable, and invariably better, once a coach has been sacked.

Need to have a fast start for once and get them on the back foot and doubting themselves early.

We just lost to Richmond at home and are an up and down team who have had two 'up' weeks in a row, I was side-eye'ing this game when there was no sacking involved as it is. Whatever happens will happen. Nothing happened after the Richmond loss so I assume same ol same ol whichever way this goes for us.
