Yeah it will be interesting to see what people do with Pav. If he's out for 4 weeks, then he only potentially plays the last 5 games. Over the 4 weeks he misses, a reserve (M. Brown in my case) will potentially cost 200 odd points over a premium. Might just be worth trading him to say a Brent Harvey.

You have just given me a good idea mate. Thanks. ;)

Food for Thought but do the same principles apply for Cox?

Guess it all depends on how long he is out.

If it's only 1 more week, then not worth it for those low on trades, but 3 or 4 weeks might be another story.

As you say, food for thought anyway.

With Cox likely to miss again I may even do Jacobs-->Clarke then Pav-->ROK. But, I don't want to use two trades so probably either Pav-->Chappy or wait a week and do Pav-->Harvey.

Tossing up whether its worth playing Ballantyne for 1 week and then get in Boomer. Is it worth the extra 40k?

Ugggh... Pavlich... why?

I'm tossing up whether to go trade free this week or go Pavlich > Didak leaving me with 5 trades. It's a big risk relying upon Sam Wright to fill Pavs position, and the points I'll be losing from not having a scoring forward will cost me in overall.

Barring injures (lol), my season is pretty much planned out, so this trade/non-trade will be crucial.

Injuries to Pav and Warren..

Warren > Stevie J for me..446k is too cheap to ignore. Finishes the fwd line although will have to play Mitchy Brown for Pav for a few weeks..

Am thinking about the following plan.

No trades this week.

Next week - Pav to Harvey if pav's injury is 3 weeks plus.

2 or 3 weeks later - Houlihan to Drummond if the plonker doesn't drop too much more in value.

I figured I'd have to keep Houlihan for the year but if I can somehow turn him in to Drummond, that would be gold.

I was going to put pav on the bench and play warren for a few weeks, but now with warren out it has stuffed my plans up and i dont have enough cash to upgrade warren, as i've only got 6 trades left and i dont want to get rid of pav.

So im yet to decide what to do.

Got Warren and Sidebottom as my forward reserves, and Pav on the field, so I'm looking to burn two of my five trades to downgrade one to someone playing and upgrade the other to someone worth a spot... it'll just depend on who's available and who's price is going to drop (Brett Harvey I'm looking at you) as to whether I do that this week or next week.

Not sure wich i will do

Mitch Brown>Brent Harvey

Paul Hasleby>Luke Hodge

Or Both. Does anyone think Hodge has bottomed out?

I would say that yes Hodge has bottomed out, however although he got 111 last week he may not be the premium you are looking for.

Wait one more week for Boomer as he will drop substantially after this week :thumbsu:

Just interested in how many people are going to end up having Daniel Rich in their final midfield?

Due to lack of trades left, its looking more likely each day that he will be there for me at the end. At the start I only ever saw him as a fat cow that would eventually turn into a proven gun (right about now), but had to make the choice between cashing in him or Otten a few weeks back, and glad I went the way I did.

Is anyone else in this position, and do you see it necessarily as a bad one heading into finals?

I have Rich as my 6th midfielder too and am really wondering if its worth burning the trade to upgrade him to Harvey or Pendlebury.

Who would be the better option out of those to if you were going to upgrade Rich?

I think we can get obsessed about clearing ALL rookies from the field as though that, in itself, will guarantee a great score.

In my situation last round I had to start 4 rookies but that didn't drive my score down. Having 9 keepers score 80 or less drove my score down.

Yes, clearning the rookies off lowers the risk of a low score but I am starting to think that upgrading an underperforming premium could net better points that stuffing around with a Broughton, Rich or a Grimes.

Just how I see it

Now that the Hawks have slipped out of the finals race you might find Hodge going in for early surgery.
I fixed your post for you :p

No trades for me this week although i was eyeing off BBBH. What a stupid mofo, never learns.
