Gonna sit for another week. Tempted to pick up Callinan, but might wait until next week. No majorly high BEs for a lot of my cows at the moment.

Tempted to work something out to get Ablett in... but might wait it out. Surely he can't keep climbing in price forever, can he?

2 Trades remaining after that spared for injuries. Decided to keep Sandilands as my R4, don't need the potential cash I could get by down trading him.

With the potential to trade in Petrie after the last NM bye (R21?). However, if I'm not bringing in Petrie (and I don't have SJ or Fyfe yet), then I may be better off bringing in an 80K ruckman to maximise the cash in hand I have, and relying on Bailey to cover Leuenberger's bye. I need to start planning all my trades now, so I can see how much cash I'll need to save.

What are people's thoughts on Lobbe's JS? Obviously it depends on when Brogan comes back. Will Lobbe be automatically dropped when Brogan returns?

What are people's thoughts on Lobbe's JS? Obviously it depends on when Brogan comes back. Will Lobbe be automatically dropped when Brogan returns?

Not sure when Brogan's back but I reckon Lobbe should play most games for the rest of the season. He needs as much game time into him as possible since he'll probably have to lead the rucks next year. The only question is what will happen to his scoring if he's not playing as the lone ruck. Still should provide adequate cover for 3rd ruck.

Cheers for the help guys , have settled on Watson -> Redden as it brings a bit of uniqueness to my team as its a pretty standard run of the mill team. Leaves me with 5 trades, team done.

In theory true but even for league win Break Evens could matter. For Example if you don't have Swan, this week is most likely the cheapest you could get him for rest of season. So He will be more expensive and if money is tight taking the not even looking at trades this week approach could be costly.


Anyway Who would people trade out? Hibberd or Buckley. Whoever I keep will be Bench cover (L. Thompson and Puopolo are other bench players)

I will need the cover of Hibberd/Buckley the week Hawthorn has bye as I have Birchall and Puopolo is not available.

Puts a bit of a dent in my plans.

No trades this week, but in coming weeks:
Someone with a high BE around the $200k price range -> a rookie <$100k.
Tape or Howard -> Fisher

And then possibly Gram or Heppell -> Broughton if I have the cash, if not then team complete.

$$, pure and simple. Not a lot of other downgrade targets with his kind of JS at the moment. If he is fit, he plays - pretty much all you could ask of a 9th/10th FWD or 8th/9th MID I'd reckon. If you are looking to bring him in to score points, then you have some issues!

so im travelling pretty well this season, ranked 2705 with 8 trades and 5k in the bank. here's my team:

going for a league win, and want to aim for a top 1000 finish. Im thinking of trading Smith -> Lobbe, and holding onto Sandi for him to come back, since Lobbe/Smith should score similar. Reckon this is a good move or im silly for holding onto Sandi? Reckon he'll be more than 3 more weeks?

In terms of other upgrades, i am probably aiming for Krakouer -> ROK, Stanley -> Broughton and Smith -> Cloke. any better options? Im worried about Fyfe's shoulder otherwise id jump on him.

Wanted to downgrade Smith to Lobbe, but I need Lobbe to play this week (along with Petrie), so I'll have to bring him in down forward.

Will probably go Lynch to Lobbe and then L Thompson to Bock (he is all I can afford). Only way I avoid a zero this week is if I make the trades. Leaves me with 3 left for the run home.

He'll be back in 2 weeks, will only miss the game against Essendon and we have the bye this week. Wasn't a bad hammy as he played out the game, just a slight strain.

Smith will be going against Mark Seaby
Lobbe will be going against Ben McEvoy

I think it be better to keep Smith in this week if you require the pts this week.
If you don't require the pts and require the $$$ go with Lobbe.

Lobbe v Leuenberger last week, didn't have many issues with scoring. Nor the week before against Goldstein. So I reckon your point is moot - he is scoring regardless of the opponent at this stage.

Is anyone considering Jed Adcock for DT in a couple weeks? his BE would still be huge, if you could pick him up for 220-240 ish....that be a bargain wouldnt it? i know he got injured onn the weekend but i dont think it was serious? espcially if u are short of trades and cash (all the backs are crap so i dont want to waste mulitple trades to get guys like fisher,.birchalll etc)

I suppose now may be the last time this season to hop on board the Ablett train. Not sold on Lobbe's scoring potential, but if he is merely being used for cover and you don't mind him scoring less when Brogan is back in, then those are two good trades.
