I am tipping no change :D

Will be very hard to drop anyone from the team that beat the Bombers.

Richards did ok in the ruck & is without doubt a better tap ruckman that Bryan.

Licca had a quiet day statwise, but as we all know he one of Micks favs & adds that grunt in the centre when we need it.

Wakelin has done nothing wrong in the absence of Presti & Co down back.He may be needed to double team Brown & is an option or Mitch Clark if he plays..

Ryan Cook has been very consistent for Willi & is pretty close but may have to bide his time.

Thoughts ?

Goldsack is ok but thats it only in the team due to injuries and Sammy Iles as a small defender is heaps better, no match up for Goldsack this week, keep Waklin in
Clement
Presti
Waklin
Maxwell
O'Brien

Ummm, pretty sure Jimmy has been out for the last 10 weeks or so, but as was mentioned earlier in the thread, DRUGS are bad, so I could be wrong :D

All things being equal there is no justification for Licuria holding his spot. Past deeds and he respect of the coach will probably see him play for at least some time yet but he isn’t contributing enough. Sorry Licuria, you will forever be a back to back Copeland winner and a hero of the 2002 final at AAMI but you haven’t been good enough for some time.

I’d like to see Cook get a trial but if Licuria stays I don’t know who to drop. Ben Johnson would be a candidate but I expect him to also be retained. Assuming Goldsack is fit and Clement doesn’t play It’s going to be hard to make a change.

Unless Clement can get in.. (and assuming Goldy will be all right) no change is needed. I think Presti and Wakelin would annoy the hell out of Brown, i've seen Brown metion Presti is one of his toughest opponents.

The midfield is fine. Licuria deserves his spot.. he's been good the last couple of games.

Go the woods!

IMO, I think Cox will be brought in, not sure who will be left out, maybe Wakelin, but i suspect Wakes will be retained as back up for Presti.

Went to training today and Clement did the full session and looked pretty sharp.

Should play this weekend but not sure if it will be in the one's or two's

Rusling also looked pretty sharp and shouldn't be two far away.

i also went to training today not only did James Clement look by being a chance this week a certin starter is R.Shaw trained very well i would think changes may be

In
R.Shaw
Clement

Why would Lonie get dropped?

Had a quiet 2nd half but nothing that he deservers to be dropped for.

Hopefully Shaw ad Clement could get back this week, that would be awesome

He did his usual squib routine, that gifted the bombers a goal

Apart from that he was good

When it is his time to go he doesn't always go, no matter how good the rest of his game is he needs to go when it is his turn

He has been playing fantastic footba at Willy and he had a decent game back in the seniors.
I think he may go for Rhyce Shaw when he is due to come back, but that will not be straight away, we will return through Willy along with Jimmy Clement.

I really like Lonie and I really hope we don't use him as trade bait, he is a true magpie and played good football for a number of years.

Who will get dropped for Clement?
Wakelin? he was told at the start of the season that he would only be needed if we had injuries but he has been playing such great football it would be stupid to drop him.
Our whole backline has been fantastic this year and it will be hard to drop anyone.

You could say the same about Didak but he’s still a gun. Lonie has his faults but he has something we need which is run, carry and delivery. He got plenty of the ball against Essendon and should not be dropped.

Glad someone agrees with me :p

That may be the case

I too really like Lonie, reckon he offers us plenty

But he needs to go when it is his turn, he again failed to do that against the dons

You do make a good point but why would you drop a player who has just come back in and picked up 20 odd disposals in his first game back.

I just don't see the point
