NRL Round 2 Discussion

Jeez, this comes around quick.

Thursday night I predict the Doggies have a comfortable win over the Panthers. The Warriors were terrible on saturday night and while they should improve, they'll lose and McFadden comes closer to the chop.

The Raiders were dealt a huge blow losing Blake Austin and Aidan Sezer and I'm not sure they've got the depth to beat the awful Roosters. In game 2 of SS the Rabbits should smash the Knights, while in game in game 3 the Eels get a chance at redemption when the Host the Cowboys. Won't be a lot in this one.

Sunday's two games should be pretty good. The Sharks and Dragons go at it and golden point beckons in this one. I like the Sharks, but only at home. Melbourne play round 1 surprise packet Gold Coast. The Storm should be too good, but the Titans showed some promising signs last weekend.

Monday night footy and which Tigers side turns up? The one who cut the Warriors to pieces or the one which got cut to pieces by the Warriors in a period of exciting footy. The Tigers should win, but who knows? A Manly upset is on the cards though.

Penrith should never have chosen to kick that penalty in the second half. They had Canterbury on the rack and with another set of six, they would have scored..

Bad loss for Penrith. Having said that, I always got the feeling the Dogs would run over the top of them.

Penrith have got Brisbane up next. Not ideal to potentially be 0-3 if you plan on making finals...

30 completed sets out of 35 indicates we weren't that bad, but jeez some individuals need to have a good look at themselves. SJ was hopeless, RTS is a worse defender than Tompkins and has been poor so far, but will hopefully get better.

The fox commentary was abysmal and extremely biased, and ruined a frustrating night.

Warriors are so frustrating.... they do stupid shit constantly.

There was 2 occasions where thet stood around at let broncos players get out of the end goal zone.

then at the end of the game they are all smiling and laughing with the broncos players who were less animated

Warriors also lost two guys to injury. And losing outside backs is a pain because rarely is there an obvious replacement, and it really throws defensive structure off.

Broncos look much like they did this time last year. Not that good, but a good draw and helpfully consistant turn around times get them a bit of momentum. Better side would've made them pay last night though.

There were some positive signs for the Warriors though with the way they took the ball out of trouble, improved performance from Luke and a better long kicking game. Need some work though. Less jeff robson.

Second half of that penrith dogs game was abysmal, saved by that exciting last minute. Hate the dogs.

Going to go watch Raiders/Roosters today, take advantage of living 3 km from the ground.

Warriors need a decent coach. How the hell does Hurrell get left out for Ayshford ?. Johnson was starved of the ball and they kept kicking to Corey Oates wing. The Broncos never kicked to Vatuveis wing. They've got the players but their gameplan was a rabble last night.
