We wont. We were as close as we were today because the Dogs forwards are shyte. Port's are actually decent.

Wasn't our day. Valiant effort. Cripps, hang your head in shame. Umps gifted them about 3 goals, and the bounce of the ball just went against us. Too bad.

He failed at executing a basic skill, this is on him.

Couldn't get enough contexted ball in the end. Not clean enough at ground level.

It was the context of the ball being played in Victoria that was the killer

Game was predictable. Some bad first half calls, could sense that'd be the difference in the end.

Had all the momentum late 3rd/early 4th and didn't capitalise. Knew as soon as the Dogs goaled they'd get their mojo back.

As bad as some of the ump calls were, we need to bury sides when we're on top and not let them off the hook. If we don't do that, we're a non-double chance side.

Good effort to get that close, but jeez Crippa might be copping a spray on the flight home. Rightfully so. At the end of the day, I expected to lose, so this was a good performance, but one can't help but rue the missed chances.

Overtaken both JP & JC....happy with Langdon forward and midfield pressure....ZL a good match up for the Dogs smallest player who killed us last year.

Cripps is great for our structure but is fumbly and makes simple mistakes. It’s like he gets tactics and his role but can’t do the basics like picking up the ball or kicking over the man on the mark.

You say unlucky. I say not skilled enough. The last few years have shown we dont have the quality to close out these tight games, and it costs us come finals time.

All the whinging about the umps is pretty piss weak. We almost got the win without our 2 best mids, and playing away from home. We still have a gun small forward/ mid to come back into the side. Plenty of positives . Barrass was huge. Good game.
