Lucas has done his PCL, and will be out for about half the season.

Hate to see injuries, but will help us out to no end. Was a bit worried if they played Lloyd, Lucas and another tall eg Hille up forward with no Egan in our side.

we'd beat them even if they had Lucas, this is just straight out bad news for everyone.

Lucas is a bit of a favourite of mine; very very good player for Essendon. Was amazing during the late 90's, early 2000's. Hate to see him get injured. Essendon can't take any breaks lately on the injury front can they?

This game should be a massacre. They look far too skinny in the middle to stay with us and we look far too skilled for them in a shoot out like the Essendon vs North Game.

Will be shades of the Bulldogs game in round 16 last year IMO. As long as we block up the middle and slow down their runners, we should win, and win comfortably.

We faded badly in the 2nd half and Essendon look fully fit and have speed. Lucas being out means they are going to score via Lloyd and their small forwards /midfielders.

So it is going to come down to how we can run out the game and how many dives Lloyd can do :D whether we win or lose.

The biggest concern is Hille. If Ottens isn't back then we'll get beaten in the ruck again. With their fast midfield, they could get the ball forward quickly...and often.

Geelong will get back Brad Ottens & Max Rooke but who will Geelong ommitt?
Trent West(Who got his ass kicked in the ruck against P.Adelaide) will give way for Brad ottens but who will give way for Max Rooke?

the worst thing geelong could do would be to rush back Max and Otto if they aren't fully fit or don't have enough match practice.

we will thump essendon with the squad we had on Thursday, any change is just to even out the B+F voting.

We are going to learn alot next Sunday playing the best team in the country. We will put up 1 hell of a fight next week. I hope its a cracker!

Sounds like you guys are a very confident of thumping us, should be a cracker of a mtch :thumbsu:

They are a fast unit, but a very slightly built midfield shouldn't pose too many problems.

Scarlett has done a great job on Lloyd in recent times and they may struggle to find other avenues to goal.

Ruck could pose a problem if Otto doesn't play.

if ever the bombers are going to stand a chance against us it is at this time of the year. they look very quick and are moving the ball as quick as they did at this time last year.
We got them in R14 last season and swept them away in the last quarter after a relatively close game for three quarters.
Should be a cracker, i'm confident in our boys though.

i think thats relevant to any opposition we have in the first 6 rounds, once we are at our peak they wont stop us, looks like the boys are just a tad underdone in endurance atm.

this is going to be another prosperous year at the TAB :D

Not while Scarletts playing. Lloyd did play on Firrito so thats actually not suprising he kicked a bag.
