You know what Billy Ray?

I was sitting at the ground today wondering if I look like "Lenny at an awards ceremony" watching the game to everyone else and low and behold here it is 😂

Thats how i watch every game home and away

Dimma’s mention of insanity. Has to be 3 tall related. Can obviously move back to it when they grow. finally an admission it was probably handicapping a little

Interesting Long didn’t train and had been carrying something for a few weeks

Davies coming in before WGraham getting back probably means going to be playing a lot forward

I hope Dimma now sees the importance of playing forwards who can impact. Not mids as forwards, but actual forwards who have trained there for years.

I don’t want to see three talls again this year either. Let Mac swing if needed. It just seemed to work better and allowed for good rotations and speed around the ground.

Davies is interesting. Still have Touk to come back, plus Graham.

So (eventually and assuming no other injuries) Touk for Holman/Davies and Graham for Lombard/Davies makes the most sense. Then Rioli for Budders/Weller. Could be a big selection headache if we keep on a roll and players come back.

Good problem to have and glad these VFL guys have made an impact when given the chance.

Touk will probably just be half forward and up at stoppage. Especially since Davies is probably mid only type guy. Where at least Humphrey, Miller, Graham, Fiorini have shown to play elsewhere

Unfortunately for Rioli it might be some time. But Powell was amazing as the attacking half back, had the dog chain on him all year needing to be more accountable

The net return from the 3 keys despite Adams negative rating is worth it. Probably means one of the attacking defenders on the wing with the extra tall that we’ve been asking for

All the so called self proclaimed experts around here

See what happens when
1-Bods breakout player of the year Alex Davies
AND
2-The Bods Suns Goat Holman plays.

You get a famous flogging over BrisC.
Can’t stand them. So good.

We Are GC. (Add in Titans men’s and women’s wins-look out Orchard Ave)

One other thing
NO MORE DARWIN
Carrara is the fortress

What a weekend Bods and Titans touched up the Warriors in NZ.
😂😂😂
Getting exciting Suns people

How good was that!!!

Brought back old memories of the Bears getting flogged at Carrara in the wet. A regular occurrence back in the late eighties. Brizzo even wore the right guernsey for the occasion lol. Feeling quite nostalgic.

My boys JJ and Alex playing well .

Buddhas has been a bit of a whipping boy for some but glad to see him sticking it up the doubters.

What a difference Sarge makes to our backline.

Rowelly and “Neo” Anderson are superstars.

Whole team were great actually.

Only bummer was the traffic on the highway - f**king ridiculous. Didn’t get to the ground until quarter time despite leaving Ormeau an hour and a half before the first bounce. Trip home also took the same time but never as bad after super win.

BIG shoutout to every Suns fan that showed up today and helped create a really great atmosphere. It felt like a genuine home crowd advantage today with our fans very clearly louder than the Lions fans (hasn't always been that way in the past) and a real highlight was when the Mexican wave broke out in the second tier. It was also awesome to see, despite the rain, that a good amount of our fans stuck around after the final siren and made noise when Rowell + Anderson thanked us for showing up and making noise. It's nice to know the players are taking notice of us and are appreciating it.

Overall so happy with what I saw today. So many positives and to do it against our biggest rival makes it so much sweeter. You can feel the momentum building at our home games and new fans are showing up in our merch. Two sell outs in a row - do we dare to dream of a third sell out next week against the Tigers? Hoping to see a sea of pink throughout the stadium next week.

Very relieved to know Collins will be playing in this one. I think it's going to surprise a few people to see how much better we are down back with Collins playing/leading the other defenders.
Wrote this on Thursday when Collins was named and feel like it really came to fruition today. Brisbane's forwards usually have their way with us, but they seemingly couldn't get anything going today and I think that had a lot to do with sarge returning. Just amazing to see what can happen when talented youngsters are being led by a mature leader like Collo.

We sent a big F you their way today. They thought they'd be cheeky wearing their old Bears jumper on our ground and we reminded them exactly why they stopped wearing that jumper. The Bad News Bears copped an aboslute shellacking at the hands of the Showtime Suns. Carrara is OUR home.

In the name of the Anderson, the Humphrey and the holy Rowell. Holy shit what was that traffic?

So I'm going to break down my day because I don't think I've ever had such a cooked time getting to a football game.

On two hours of sleep after working last night - I left home at 10am this morning. Thanks to a combination of terribly planned track work and ungodly traffic - My cheeks didn't hit my seat at PFS until 1:46pm, I've only just gotten home In the last half an hour or so (We'll call it 7:35pm for those keeping track)

Aside from the time I missed an entire game in Melbourne due to a highway blockage leaving Albury or the time my flight landed late in Sydney - I've never been late to a bounce. Just actual madness

I might have actually cried had we dished up the same as last week given the effort I went through today. The absolute sweetest four points in recent memory. 🙏

Yeah so took the little girl to face painting at quarter time and I was pretty disturbed when I looked at the gate by how many people were arriving that late.
It had to be the no trains and traffic.

And getting home after a “big crowd” really is a complete joke.

I mean really it’s only a bit over 20k we have to get out of Carrara and it’s bloody ridiculous.

Given no Touk or Rioli, after last week, and with one foot in the finals on the line, I thought today was one of our greatest wins I’ve been to. But that just may be my hatred of Brisbane talking.

Midfield just bullied them from the start. Davies made a huge difference, getting Rowell and Anderson free and getting the ball moving. He also allowed Fiorini, Flanders, Humphrey, etc. to hold their positions outside the contest and get the ball moving quickly by hand instead of being forced inside to cover Touk like last week. Also Rowell going to another level and just dominating the game from the start of the 3rd in the wet was must watch TV.

Speaking of Flanders, I thought was back to his best in that half-forward role rolling up and getting involved in a heap of scoring chains.

Forward line in general looked infinitely more dangerous with 1 less tall (we’re all shocked). No surprise that Long played his best game in a while, and Farrar brought a new dimension to the forward line. Also brought the smalls into it with a lot more space.

Finally, what a godsend Oscar Adams has been. Fit nicely into the lineup next to Collins and I thought we started to see a little bit of the old Mac getting involved.

Full team effort today. Great stuff.
