Still can’t believe we put in yet another pitiful start to the 4th quarter, but the ‘analysts’ are right, the Suns of any other time lose that game against one of the best finishing sides, despite what we were up. 4 points is 4 points.

And we equal our best season ever.

Anderson surely put one hand firmly on the AA Captain’s blazer tonight in prime time. Just an incredible lift when we needed it. Rowell equally incredible. Witts again putting his body on the line all game-long. And you’d think we run Collins/Adams KPD if Sarge is back soon? Really something to work with in Oscar’s, which is super exciting.

Needed at least 1 win from this run of 3 to stay in the hunt, and we’ve knocked it over early! And the cope from pie supporters is just the cherry on top. Now to enjoy this glow for the rest of the weekend.

How good for Oscar Adams.

From playing at Glenelg to beating Collingwood on a Friday night in only a month or two.
Is he gonna be the one that doesn’t know what it’s like to lose?
Ends up with a 90% win ratio to finish his career.

Outside of Rowell and Anderson

Couple unsung hero guys
Adams and Mac. Huge task to stand up. Mac 11 spoils.

Jeffrey defensively rather than his offensive game like last week was strong

Jed’s pack work was huge. Got the ball to ground basically every time. Ratings will kill him but Dimma will love him

Swallow just clean, 3 score involvements. 100% efficiency for his 10 touches, crucial goal assist in the last

Fiorini and Budarick 14 tackles between them. Led to over half the HTB decisions we got

Geez, our best footy is unstoppable. But our worst is right up there. Been like that most of the season, were we dominate a quarter, maybe a half.

Lucky to hold on, but so glad we did. Noise in the stadium was huge when that siren went. What a win!

I hope Touk is ok and isn’t a long-term injury. Anderson and Rowell were immense. Absolutely immense.

And side note… this is why I hate running Read and Walter with the plan to likely sub one off: if we get an injury, we are in trouble. Collingwood just ran it out of defence their with ease as the game ran on. Definitely something to look at, even though it was unlucky. If Touk stays on, I think we run away with that game for a bit longer and it is less dicey.

Did you really think it was going to be that easy? Never. Letting Collingwood back into a game you had won at half time and then just about squeaking ahead with 10 mins to go and barely icing the game is how we do it. In a way it’s a good thing that the Suns turned the game into an absurdly watchable spectacle on a solo Friday night showcase broadcast. But if you’re a Suns coach or a fan who wants to see us go far, that win will have been way too stressful despite the immense joy of beating the ladder leaders......

Surely Touk hamstring is in the “tweak” category?
He wasn’t seen limping off like it was a tear. Yes?
He came off right in front of my and there was no indication that anything was wrong - I was stunned when the girl went over and dropped the card off with the officials for the sub.
This is the greatest night of my life

But we hadn't won it
All we'd done was get 6 goals up at half time
That's 15 minutes of decent football for Collingwood
It was always on the cards they would swing momentum their way
Such a gutsy great win and a privelege to be there and see that game from Buzz
I'd give him all 6 votes if i could

Losing Touk was massive
Our centre clearances just stopped dead

11 touches, 5 contested and 3 clearances in 24% game time.

you bring that up to around 90% like and if he continued at that pace its 31 touches, 18 contested and 11 clearances.

doubt the Collingwood midfield gets back in if Touk doesn't go down.

Be funny as hell if Dimma just pulls a surprise move and hard tags Daicos, especially since pies don’t usually tag themselves, right?
Would it be fair to say that Dimma did exactly that in the first half? N.Daicos didn't seem to get anywhere near it in the first half and then seeemed to barely touch it in the second half. One of his quietest games for a while.

No he didnt tag him at all, we just smashed them at stoppage.

Just a horrible 2nd half. All the calls were going the Pies' way and Suns' effort just disappeared. The first 5 minutes of the 4th made me want to chuck my phone out the window. Felt like the game vs GWS all over again. You'd be in the minority of Suns fans if you didn't think they were going to lose.

Thankfully, they woke up in the final 10 minutes and put on arguably the greatest performance in franchise history. To say this was the biggest game in franchise history is an understatement. It showed the Suns belong in the Finals.

I just wish Suns games didn't age me so significantly.
