Sleeping in one is fine. The problem is on awakeningIt’s like someone shat in the bed but we’re still forced to sleep in it.
I was thinking the same. It would be very Collingwood to win next week.We haven’t had our backs to the wall like this ahead of a trip to Adelaide since early September, 2002…
Only when its warm... it cools quickly... no joySleeping in one is fine. The problem is on awakening
Drawing on a wealth of experience?Sleeping in one is fine. The problem is on awakening
It’s not a bender if it doesn’t end that wayDrawing on a wealth of experience?
Yep.Mids jesus. Nick’s been covering some gaps this year, bandaid fully ripped off now
Moore should probably concern himself less with everyone else and more with his own deplorable form. Not sure what this proves TBH.
Fly might have been shocked at Jem's injury 2 minutes into the game.
I guess Moore screaming at him is a concern.
A very long 6-7 months actually. It’s going to be a very very long week.

Put Rankine down for 7The thought of what Adelaide’s 3 talls will do to our backline is scary.

Im actually shocked Perryman didn't get a run considering we were getting pantsed and he's one of our only players that has had any recent form. Our midfield is a shambles. We keep picking glacially slow guys like Pendles, Mitchell and Long. They are all too slow to break away if they win the ball or run-down opponents if they don’t. If you don’t agree - check-out Pendles’ tackle count tonight - zero!
Playing one of them is bad enough but playing all three of them is insane. Cue the Benny Hill music!
Here are the guys we should be playing through the middle - Nick, Josh, Perryman, Crisp, DeGoey, McCreery & Allan. If that means there’s no spots for Pendles Mitchell and Long then so be it.
Pace was not an issue when we were winning every game early in the season.Yep.
We don't have
a) enough speed in the midfield
b) a midfield bull who can take it up to the best
I thought Ned Long was going to be our Premiership inside mid, but last week and now tonight reveal that he isn't there.
Likewise, Titch is not there.
Can't win a flag without that kind of mid.
Also can't win a flag without speed through the midfield. I think we could actually have that if we found a way to rotate Jaicos and Naicos through there.
But it seemed from this game that we have not made any effort, or at least not an effective one, to determine how to optimise mid rotations so as to get all the pace we have in there.
Yeah Perryman was the only person who looked clean in the last Q. He's wasted in defence at $900,000 per year. He was really good in Round 0 in the loss, playing midfield. Not quick, but good skills. Would like to see him tried given half the midfield is carrying an injury or just desperately out of form. Our midfield is a shambles.
