Yes it does. In unpredictable ways. that's the point.Agree, the form looks worse than what it really.
That doesn't change the reality of the results and likely results to come.
The point is, we were a team that no one could defeat coz system and belief.Yes it does. In unpredictable ways. that's the point.

I'm going to draw out the contradictions. The point is, we were a team that no one could defeat coz system and belief.
Top two was very likely, an easier route to a real chance at a flag. Even better given our age profile.
That's now all but gone.
Yes we could regain form, but it's too late now, futile. We can't get back what we had UNLESS other results fall our way. But that's out of our hands now, and self inflicted. That's what grates.
That's the point.
So how do you see the next few games playing out for us?I don’t care what anyone says. Having to play 3 games in 11 days, against two contenders, one on a 5 day break is an absolute joke. We were cooked. Completely out of gas after qtr time. People can cry foul all they like about how many games we get in Melbourne, but this draw at this time of the year is unfair.
Is it an excuse. Maybe.
Is it a factor. Definitely.
Any team playing off a 5 day break is incredibly vulnerable.
Go back to the Gabba when we smashed the Lions earlier in the year. Yep the Lions were woeful and it was off a 5 day break.
Couldn't GAF about despondency.I'm going to draw out the contradictions.
You said:"Yes we could regain form, but it's too late now, futile."
Futile: meaning is: "hopeless, useless, leading to no desired effect"
Then you immediately qualify this by saying: "UNLESS other results fall our way".
Straight away then you negate your original statement. It is NOT futile to regain form, because other results might fall our way.
And even if other results don't fall fully our way, regaining form is a factor itself in reality.
I'm just arguing that full blown despondency is not appropriate right now. Time will decide.
Couldn't GAF about despondency.
I'm pissed we've given away 10 point lead and percentage. An optimum path to a flag.
Like I said, NOW, that ideal position is out if our hands.
If you're aok with that, then good for you , kudos for wearing those rose coloured glasses .
I'm a little more realistic than that. So I'll fix up some language for you.
It's likely regaining peak form IS futile NOW to retain the optimum position we had. i:e it's too late.
there ya go.
Toughen up... thats lifeCouldn't GAF about despondency.

Fair enough, apologiesGood on ya. Language is important.
So how do you see the next few games playing out for us?
Yes, nothing to lose. When there's nothing to lose, necessity suddenly becomes freedom.I’m expecting or at least hoping for a strong showing against Adelaide, don’t expect to win, and we will beat Melbourne , we always do.
Then reset , and see who , where we come up first week of finals and go cut throat footy, nothing to lose.
You clearly didn't read my messageSure let’s dump the bloke who got us a flag and on Top this year playing great football , because we’ve lost a few games.
That’s the attitude of a Pea Heart.
Exactly how I felt this morning.Me at work today - people need to give me a wide berth!

The Bobby situation will be revealed at training during the week. If he does not pitch up, we know that the club has been fudging. On current form the game against the dees will be titanic struggle which isn’t a guarantee win…
Any news on Bobby ? Have his runs stopped ?
There’s an element of not wanting to, our form slide started when we qualified for finals. An old list, and nobody wants to miss out on a premiership through injury.
I’m hoping it’s this because it means we’ll be able to switch back into form when needed.
