You could be right about Simmo, also Eddie plays his 100th against the Bombers ......

Milestone
Eddie Betts is due to play his 100th AFL game in the round 3 match against Essendon on Saturday night. Eddie will have his name on the number 19 locker at Visy Park in recognition of playing 100 games for Carlton.

You're both right :)

Congrats to Eddie.

Not sure with this game whether to tag Watson or put him head to head with Brock, I'd rather tag him, because he has been put forward the few games i've seen them play this year. I think Carrots would do well on him

5-0 isn't looking so good for you either.

TBH, I can't wait to play you guys.

You need to get past Freo, a real danger game for dirty dons, on paper Freo look pretty good, drop that game then face us, I reckon, there;s a big chance that you could be zip - 3...
At this point in time, at least we've won a game

Oh that's right, we won a practice match last week

I think you guys misunderstood what I meant by "5-0".

It was a reference to our most recent head to head record (ESS VS CARL) in the past 5 matches.

It has nothing to do with the 2010 draw.

I know he's been dropped.

But I seriously hope they play fatboy Neagle.

I'm still laughing at his game changing - playing on from the mark and injuring himself act.

He's Lance Whitnall (without the footy brain) MK II

I think it will be a very good game, the midfield battle will be great to watch.

Scotland --- Prismall
Simpson --- Winderlich
McLean --- Watson
Murphy --- Welsh
Gibbs --- Stanton
Kreuzer --- Hille

The thing i would be concerned if i were a Essendon supporter would be there key fowards. Gumbleton is a shocking kick watch Essendon play Geelong he has a high ball drop and kicks the ball straight up and is not ready for AFL level and Neagle has been droped.

I wouldn't worry about our recent history, I'd be more worried about the consequences for you if Neagle is recalled, Mr. Cake

Will be interesting to see how they use Ryder.

Any word why they omitted Riemers? I thought he gave them a spark against the Cats, could be wrong though...

Isn't fit enough to play as a mid at AFL level ATM whilst Zaka has been out performing Reimers in the small forward role.

Might get a recall vs Carlton though.

Bower is out by reports for 4 weeks so should be back
Only other change I can see is maybe Lucas or Browne for Anderson
Betts will retain his spot. Was just one of those nights
Don't think Wiggins offers enough to replace anybody in the 22
Maybe unchanged again but hope Lucas gets his debut done

Can someone explain the Bower situation cause the above is a complete contradiction.

Thanks, being omitted for fitness and being recalled a week later? I don't know, may be a bit longer or it's just a confidence issue coz he seems like an introvert

Nobody quite knows, initial whispers which said he was out for the Lions game stated he'd be out for 4 weeks. However he did make the trip to the Gabba and was only changed late, so that seems to indicate he could make a return this week

I lol'd, but everyone knows the cake is a lie.

Seriously though, the 5-0 wasn't a reference to how you'll do next week either, it was merely an add on to Bluesque's listed reasons for needing the win.

It wasn't an indication of who was going to win, nor was it a premonition of Carlton's draw from after the Brisbane game and onwards. Taken way out of proportion, tbh.

just looking at the preview,,,geez its early and you already have 4 pages up!!! if we win sunday Neagle wont play against you guys, and laycock will get a game i dont know when,,,he isnt even the 1st ruck at bendigo... bellchambers is.....it will be the same side bar injuries!!

and since when did we have a worrying pace??

and thought i might add what is it with hawthorn wank#$s jumping on everyones boards bagging them when they couldnt even follow up a flag with making the finals?? and why do they think they are shoeins to make it this year when they didnt last year???

Looks, like you've got us on a slow week

Lovett was the one that consistently hurt us, and with him gone, and perhaps Reimers even missing, their pace has markedly dropped. Only Winderlich and Davey have any real leg speed in the current 22.
You are missing the 3 players that always cut us up in Judd, Stevens and Fevola which is a more significant loss then Lloydy and Lovett.
