Haha thank God , thought you were going bananas, but yeah I agree ross is a good in if it needs to come to that, wonder how rcd is tracking though
Hmm, yeah I thought about RCD. Concerned that he has not been selected yet. Apart from the new crew, he’s probably one of the only ones that did not get called up to the seniors

Can't afford to carry more than one in the midfield who doesn't get many possessions.(Graham).

Would be stoked if we got him in, so versatile, suits this shortened season/quarter’s perfectly
Not ready. Maybe he can do an artic
And what’s Nahas gotta do to get back in front of Bolton. It’s BS man.
I've heard they both have huge masons....
But if they don't play, no point

lel even if that spud was good enough to go with dusty it doesn't matter, better defenders than frost still s**t their pants when they line up against him. it's all about the aura. as soon as they realise the ball is coming in and they're lined up on dusty they can't handle it - they run the wrong way, trip over, grab his guernsey, forget to go for the ball, etc, doesn't matter the player dusty will win 4/5 times due to his god-like aura

Not concerned where Ross, Stack and co. start. I trust. During a game, coaches can move players if changes needed. Been happening for years.
Who ever thought Caddy would be a winger.

Excited with the INS.
Nank must also have been in consideration.
Balta might get a run at some stage, but a team that has more decent tall forwards than Hawks.
Markov would change the look of the forward line, probably not to the better though.
I expect Dow to get a run soon but no rush.

Dusty out, O'Meara in as Baker given WA quarantine exemption

June 17, 2020 — 5.

Richmond champion Dustin Martin has been forced out of the Tigers side to play Hawthorn after suffering bruised ribs last week.

The selection surprise, which is damaging for the reigning premiers as they face a side embarrassed last week by Geelong, could impact the Tigers even further, with the dual premiership star and Brownlow medallist in some doubt also for round four. He will be assessed during the week.

Martin is joined on Richmond's list of outs by forward Liam Baker, who will miss one match after returning to Perth for a funeral. Baker will avoid a two-week quarantine period, given special dispensation from the WA government to return to the state for three days

A mandatory two-week quarantine period applies to other people entering the state.

The impact of the forced changes for the Tigers, and in particular the loss of their best and most important player in Martin, is compounded by the Hawks welcoming classy midfielder Jaeger O'Meara back into the team that was humbled by Geelong last Friday night.

Richmond have won their last four matches against the Hawks and will still be heavily favoured to defeat them on Thursday night at the MCG, but the Martin loss has a profound effect on the Tigers' structure for his ability to be so damaging both as a midfielder and a forward.

The durable Martin has barely missed a game since he made his debut in 2010, playing at least 20 games a season.
Baker made representation to the WA government and was granted the three-day pass on compassionate grounds. Richmond supported his move but it was Baker who approached the state government for the special leave pass.

All AFL players are tested at least once and normally twice a week for COVID-19 and have been living under stricter isolation rules than the rest of the community.

With Martin and Baker out of the side, the Tigers brought in versatile premiership player Josh Caddy, who missed last week with a calf injury, and young player Jack Ross.

The changes – especially the absence of Martin – make for a tweak to the Tigers' forward line, which coach Damien Hardwick already expected to be considerably more involved and attacking than in last week's five goals apiece draw with Collingwood.

Hardwick said the low scoring was partly a product of the shorter game but more pertinent was the fact the two teams had the best defences, in personnel and structure, of any teams in the AFL. Neither side kicked a goal in the last quarter.

"I expect both Richmond and Collingwood to be a little bit better at going across the [forward 50m] arc this week," Hardwick said.

"We had pretty much the same amount of inside-50s each as everyone else, we just couldn't score because we're going up against the two best defensive sides in the AFL.

"We did a fair bit of work on that this week, it would be fair to say, and hopefully we come across with a better result.”

Collingwood kicked one goal in three quarters and didn't score a goal in the second half, while Richmond didn't kick a goal in the first or last quarters.

"Our game was incredibly short last week and the scoring I think will improve as the season goes on ... it's something I think will change over the course of the season as we do evolve and look at it."
